So there should be no objection to music some find distasteful entering into the church?
For example, if 75% of the church wants traditional hymns and songs, and 25% want drums and rock n' roll, should the 75% be forced into accepting what the 25% want to offer? Or should the 25% respect the desires of the 75% in a Christian manner.

Whole churches have been separated and cut assunder by the choice of music in the church so I would say this is a very important issue and music is a powerful subject.
Very simple: Two seperate worship services. People can choose either the morning Traditional service or the afternoon Contemporary service. The pastor preaches the same sermon twice, there is just a different worship dynamic.
Everyone is happy.
It has worked at every College/University SDA church I have been to who offers it.

Apparently, you are in agreement as long as the majority agrees. What happens though to the minority? Do they just start another church or join another denomination?
Not in all cases when it comes to taste, the danger is the majority will bully their tastes for the whole church to follow based on thier sheer numbers, where will it stop, if the majority wanted all women to wear hats just because of tradition and not any moral reason would that be right for those women who are not hat wearers?I never said that. Well, I'm sure many disagree with me on this, but here's my opinion. (I became convicted of this only recently, but bear with me as I explain.)
I've been doing a lot of praying, asking God these very questions. There seems to be so much disunion in Christianity, and yet from reading the book of Acts and many of Paul's letters in the NT, it is evident that disunion was not acceptable.
I finally came to this conclusion: Just as God appoints kings and rulers over nations, how much more does he take interest in appointing leaders in the Christian churches? I feel that every pastor is there because God has placed him there. If it were not God's will, he wouldn't be there.
To me, by questioning a pastor's position (this includes elders) you are basically questioning God's judgment. No human being is perfect, but I do believe it is God's desire that we respect the decisions made by those who he has placed in leadership positions so long as it does not directly conflict with the Word. Frankly, I feel that whatever the church board, pastor, elders, (which will probably represent the majority) decide should stand.
So as for the additional 25% that you mentioned, they should accept the decision. But of course there comes the conflict. Should they accept the decisions made? Absolutely. But will they? Look at this forum and the answer is obvious.
If you sincerely and genuinely disagree still with the decision (AND have Biblical grounding for your stance) then I would say it would be appropriate to leave. But certainly make it a matter of prayer.

as far as music is concerned, I have different views about it at the same time... like, if the music brings you closer to God and leads you away from sin than keep it up, as long as you feel you like it, but if it actually leads you farther away from God or even into sin, well I dont know...
