  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well I been growing up a lot latley. Not long ago I was a new christian at the age of 17. Now I am 22 (23 in a month but lets not rush death shall we lol) and I have grown, for lack of a better word, strong. I been through some hard spiritual trials and have become SURE of my God. One thing I seen last night was how we are to follow our dreams. As long as God is over them.

I read that the preparations of the heart is for man to make but the answer is from God. Also the steps of a rightous man are ordered of the Lord. I seen how God didn't have to tell ppl what to do on many things. They just did it cause that is what they wanted to do. And God blessed it because they wanted Him more. As He said, whatever a rightous man lays his hand to it will be blessed. It let me know we can carry on with our lives and follow our dreams as long as God is still GOD!

So here is one of my dreams. I have a desire to have a wife, and home of my own. I live with my parents now because I help them out. I give them my pay check in other words to keep us all from being homeless. But I asked God to take care of my family here. I asked that if I should find a wife He would have them taken care of for me. I believe the old scripture "The Lord shall provide" And I see Him doing it. My brother has cleaned his life up and is not considering taking care of them for me.

But one thing still bothers me. I know that if I set my self to do so, God shall bless with a good wife. The problem is I don't know where to look lol. None in my church, and none at work. Plus it is HARD to find a christian girl these days, let alone one to get to know. Does anyone have thoughts on what to do? After reading what I did I don't think I should sit around and wait for a wife to be pulled out from my rib lol. I now know I have a part to play in this. Thats why He said whoever FINDS a wife...

So what should I do here? Prayer is a given. But what else? I thought of a christian personals thing but I don't want to have to pay ppl to talk to someone else. :help: lol

There is a similar thread to this in the Single's forum and my best advice is find ways to interact with other churches and Christians in your community. Service projects, church camps, and youth retreats are awesome ways to meet other people. In my opinion, you get the best glimpse of another person when you see them serving other people. It's easy to pretend to be a Christian but it's hard to pretend to be a servant. Hope that helped. :)
