so I think im going to sign up and im a christian just not the kind that goes to church or resites bible verces. To me I know I dont need to go to church to love God and all the great things he does for me and everyone else who loves him.....my question is for someone who dosen't do stuff like that is christian mingle a good site for me? iv tryed other sites but they dont work at first there all ok with me wanting to wait to have sex till after marriage but half way in the relationship they want atlest other things but i dont want to do that its not who iam or what i want to do so in the end we breakup and it hurts so I thought this would be the site for me and I just want to know what everyone thinks before I go signing up for it any help would be great thx.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It should be fine - my friend has been a member of the site before. Not all the men she met went church regularly but all were Christian, or at least identified as that.

you get all types on there...don't matter
if it's promoted as Christian or not.
I've found just as many "fakes" on Christian
dating sites as I found on non-Christian...it's
like that in real life as well.
One must sort through the mass of "potentials"
carefully...prayer is also needed.
The Bible reveals this:
Proverbs 12:26
"The righteous should choose his friends carefully,
For the way of the wicked leads them astray."
(One can apply this to finding a suitable
help-mate/spouse...choose carefully, prayerfully.)
Opting out of going to a church building? One
can do that;however, we are to maintain regular
fellowship/koinonia with other Christians...growing
spiritually, having access to godly counsel, being
discipled, it's important to have mature believers
who can "keep watch over you" etc.

We are warned in The Word about our adversary/devil...

Yeah, I wish they still called it a "PM" or Private Message, but I guess you can now include as many as you want by adding people to the "Conversation", so that's probably why. But a "Conversation" always starts out that way at least, IOW, just between two members.

I've found usually only two types of people on those christian sites....
The majority are the ones who tend to have a list a mile long of what they want. They are usually on there because they can't find someone whos 100% perfect in real life. Aka they don't care what God wants. Only what they are looking for. So odds are they may not find anyone.
The second type of person on there is the kind of person looking for real love, someone who doens't have a long list but knows God is in control. They may have a very short basic list (be a christian, be the opposite sex, share the same general beliefs....etc). But these people are the minority. Sometimes these people have health issues or don't fit what the world calls perfect. Like myself. I tried christian mingle and some other big name ones. It was a waste of money. I ended up trying some free christian dating sites. A few were filled with not much. One had ALOT of very disabled people at it that would take anyone just to say they had someone to love. I met my wife at christiandatingforfree dot com. Though it seems to be more women then men on it. But none the less there are good people on there.
BTW if your a woman (assuming) and having a problem with guys wanting sex instead. My one friend whos a woman would after a few minutes of talking say "Want to see a special picture of me?". When some guys said yes she would respond "Thats what I thought, you want my body!". Then she would block them and move on. Sadly even christian men are not immune from the difficulties of sex drives.

Hi, I think Christian dating sites are a great place to look for someone. Like the people here mentioned, you will meet all types of Christians there. If you are not the type who goes to church regularly, be sure to mention it in your profile and let others know what you are looking for. There will be others who match your interest.
Watch out for false Christians. These guys tend to be sexually aggressive and will ask for too much before marriage. Evaluate their speech. If they are inappropriate in their conversations, run away. A good man will keep it clean, honor you, and get to know you without all the sex stuff. Don't give up. Keep looking for that right man. Blessings!

I was recommended christian mingle but didnt sign up cos ive not had good experience with so called christians on dating sites. I got scammed.
I would advise pray and be honest about your motivations with God and ask Him to send you someone. For women, you have to be especially careful.
I also found yes, a lot of disabled ppl on computer dating sites. Keep going to church and also ask elders to pray for you and bless you. They may even know someone in their families.
