  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Has anyone noticed the massive number of Bands that come off of Tooth and Nail and other christian labels, and simply use that as a career starter? I'm just startled by the number of bands i find that started out on a christian label... and the small amount that actually stay there... I thought i'd put it out there, see if anyone had something to say

...not a big fan of Christian labels. I think if a band's aim is to get into secular music, they should strive for that musically, and not use weak Christian labels as a springboard. It should go excellent music --> small secular label --> big secular label, not okay music --> Chrisitan label --> secular label.

But, that's just my opinion.

Christian lables have come a long way... they are learning to become lot better than in the past. Just my opinion as I see it.

I think that's pretty cool for most of those bands, besides the few the deny where they come from...that always ticks me off. I think mostly it depends on why the band is going for the big name label, cuz in some scene/genres that's not as respectable as others.

Tooth & Nail is very good record company in promoting there bands and getting their names out there very fast as well as far, so it's not a wonder that alot of Tooth & Nail's bands get signed to some big time deal.
