  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I feel God is calling me to be a Christian healer through studying herbs and crystals. Its a passion I have had since I was small and it is something I can dedicate to Jesus Christ along with my writing. I love stones and being in nature and reading about the ways herbs and crystals can help the physical body. I often wear a crystal necklace and like being outside in nature. In nature I like to feel God's presence. Is there anyone else here who feels called to be a Christian healer? Is there anyone who has a passion for healing with Gods nature?

I feel God is calling me to be a Christian healer through studying herbs and crystals.

every culture through the ages has used herbs, chemicals, to help in the restoration of health. We all want to be free from pain and sickness.

I wouldn't disuade any one from seeking medicine from the doctor, or hospital treatment. Or even changing diet, as they can all help.

Thinking about herbs and crystals, Herbs can be useful such as lavender can help with sleeping etc, crystals can help with problems with computers in the room...don't know much about this yet...my interest is in supernatural healing in the name of Jesus which doesn't involve these things.

Christian healing is praying for the sick, and Jesus is the source of all healing for all diseases,
There are times when we seek healing from God, and according to the Bible, the authority is in Christ Jesus.

I join you in seeking and praying for a healing ministry, I am studying 'Healing starts now' complete training manual by Joan Hunter. (From our friendly online store...amazon)...it is very helpful and interesting.

I've been using medicinal herbs for about 20 years now and started when one of my daughters was ill.

God has provided what we need in creation to stay healthy and thrive.

One thing that has really helped me is to study the body and it's functions. Get some good books about the systems of the body; circulatory, urinary, digestive, etc.

There is a book called 10 Essential Herbs (can't remember the author). It's really a good one because the ones she uses are safe for animals and children and she gives dosages and information on tinctures and decoctions.

One of my favorite herbs in rosemary.

Thank you so much for this response:) I am glad God led you to healing medicinal herbs. Did they help heal your daughter some? Do you make a tea with the herbs?
Rosemary is a wonderful healing herb.

Tea is one of the best ways to take herbs into our body.

My husband is traditional and after many doctors and test it was suggested that surgery would needed for a biopsy. She was six years old at the time.
A friend suggested a healer who gave me herbs for a tea and she was so good to drink that for a week. Even though she did have the surgery, the doctors confirmed that the lump was shrinking and from that time on I was convinced.
Now years later, even though I believe that doctors have their place, I know that herbal medicine is the way to go for most things.

That is beautiful that the tea was able to help your daughter! I am very physically sensitive and do not deal well with medication. I have PTSD and treat myself with natural remedies. I also feel that herbal medicine is the way to go for most things.

A great thread, I am all for rediscovering the uses of medicinal herbs. The Lord has given us so many plants to heal and to bless us

I am going to be straight with you. I very much doubt that God would ask you to study herbs and crystals if you are to be a Christian healer. The honor for healing goes to Jesus, his power alone, not herbs and crystals. I say this having healed a few people through prayer alone.

Crystal healing is strongly tied to witchcraft, and God will not associate himself with such things.

Christian healing comes purely as a result of God's promises, the promises he has put in his word. To become a Christian healer you must know God well, and follow, and study his word the bible.

All glory and praise goes to God for all things.

So are you saying that earache just needs prayer or a combination of prayer and medicine? Having an intimate relationship to the Father comes first of course but the bible doesn't have the information needed for how to use medicinal herbs.

I saw this thread a while ago and was thinking this same thing — no offence intended, Bluerose, but Jesus himself never used herbs or crystals for healing, nor did he recommend that anyone else did. It's good and right to have the desire to be a healer, but to be a Christian healer means to heal as Jesus did and as his followers also did regularly during the first few centuries of Christianity — through prayer and the power of God alone, that is.

There are many churches and Christian groups today that practise healing through prayer; I've experienced it myself and so have many others I know. It is definitely a line worth pursuing, if that truly is what you feel called to do. :glowingstar:

I use herbs and crystals for my PTSD but I rely on God for my healing. I know that the healing comes from God and that nature is just his creation.

I use prayer for healing primarily. I only use herbs for my PTSD and crystals because I love the beauty of them and find their beauty healing.

I have a pagan background but I am a recent born again Christian. I use herbs for my PTSD and to help manage my weight and I have crystals that I collect but dedicate them to Jesus Christ.

What do you mean by pagan background ? You were not alive in pagan times.

I do not trust in crystals. Herbs can relieve symptoms and help people in various ways. That is an interesting area. I do love nature and do feel God's presence most strongly in nature.

I would like to be able to heal people, but would do it by laying on hands.

Not one of my talents, unfortunately. (Though I know some who know me would roll their eyes at me saying that. :) )

I do hope to try and heal people with words. And prayer from afar, anonymously.
