There is a free Christian FPS called Eternal War: Shadows of light, and i was wondering if anyone wanted to get it and play online. We can share i.p addresses once you get the game.

Cool, if you like it we can exchange i.p adresses and play some online co-op.
It runs on a game engine similar to quake, so if your a fan of that engine i think youll enjoy it.

Actually it sounds pretty cool, especially for free, doesn't look like a big download either? Hopefully it has a good single player campaign. I don't really feel like playing multiplayer.

Yea, the single player campaign IMO was pretty good. The download is pretty small not a gb but not over 500mb im pretty sure.

You just create a game and then people have to know you i.p adress and connect by typing it in. Why they don't have any supported servers for this game, I do not know. But, I have somewhat connections with the developer of the game on another forum. I'll shoot him up about it later.

My clan would be interested in hosting a permanent server for the game if they have a server file or give directions on setting up a client host.

Will the game allow for additional maps or levels and if so, what program can be used to make them? Is there an SDK?

He wrote to me saying that he put the game engine up online for modding. It should let you create new everything if you want. (levels, characters, etc.)

I will defenitely ask him about the server file or and the directions on setting up a client host. I'll post when he gets back to me.

Sorry for getting back so late but he PM'd back and said he can't make a dedicated server cause the game is so old. If he did put one on that would mean making a new game.
