It would seem to me that through the prophecy of Zech,speaking of the Sukkot{feast of Tabernacles} that all christians could unite under this one subject seeing that all nations will celebrate this this holy appointed day of G-d.If the goal of Christian Forums is to unite people who believe in Yeshuah then why not unite them in this great festival where you are not allowed to mourn.I always look at how many people are on line,today I got on and there was me and 7 hundred 76 people on line.That was real funny to me cause i like numbers,Is there anyone in christianity that can't accept Sukkot? that's what I would ask every christian.if there is 700 christians on line,it would be nice to take a vote and see how many christians on line wouldnt accept celebrating sukkot.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Im a Christian and I have celebrated Sukkot before. I used to attend a Messianic Congregation years ago. Im not currently, but I'd celebrate Sukkot again! Ive found a Messianic Congregation here ( I just moved recently) but its about 50+ miles from my house! I dont know if I want to make that drive on Shabbat? What do you suggest?
It would be great if the whole body would come together to celebrate together. It is mentiomed in scripture ( that all believers will celebrate) so you know it will some day!!!
Maybe Messianic congregations during the time of Sukkot should invite local chuches to be apart of this holiday.

I try to take my kids camping for 7 days in oklahoma at turner falls for Sukkot.I don't think you have to drive a hundred miles,just find a way to have fun with ur children on Sukkot.That's what its all about,I always try to stay in a tent 7 days,I never have built a Sukka but I will one day.

I would love to celebrate Sukkot! There are no Messianic Jews around here so there is noone to do this with. What would be a thing to do this year to start something here at home? Have 3 kids and one husband. One night i slept out on the upstairs deck by myself after everyone had gone to bed during Sukkot, it was the most beautiful sky i have ever saw . Misty clouds were racing across the moon.....anyways. What would be a few things that i can do...cook...decorate....talk about with my family?

Zech-says that all nations will come up to Sukkot year to year.
I think that people are waiting for a proclimation but when you think about what Zech says and be realistic can you make the change? Is somebody going to say you have to? I dont think so,we all have to choose now and teach our children.My youngest child loves Sukkot but my older two lagh at me because of it.
Is our nation being judged right now because the majority does not celebrate Sukkot? I don't know,But I do know that soon we will be.Switching festivals is very hard to do,it takes alot of study and sacrifice.I believe it's up to us to begin a change.

Sukkot is the most wonderful time of the year. It is a harvest festival, it is a celebration of the L-RD's forgiveness of our sins after a time of teshuvah , true repentance. It is a time to celebrate that G-d is with us everywhere we are. It is the time to celebrate when He came to earth and "tabernacled" amoung us in the flesh, it is also a time to celebrate the coming time when we will tabernacle ( many mansions) with Him forever!

At Sukkot a great procession ensues where people are waving willows in the wind.
So many people coming up the mountain thrashing limbs,a second multitide drawing water from your backyard pond saying let us draw water from the well of salvation and still a third bringing the wine.Words can not express your joy,your sukka is lit up with lights and let there be candles hanging from trees,Let man Barbeque a nice T-bone and let the smoke fill the back yard while we lagh dancing with our willows.Let Johnny Cash sing when the man comes around speaking of the virgins trimming their wicks and let 2 stepping have it's way.Tears streaming from your face through laghter at the mere thought of still being alive,sprinkle some wine and water on the T-bone but cook it really hot and stand the willow branches around you non propane pit
This is yeshuah,on the eighth day let's have another party for the circumsizion,what shall we call it?
