I don't get it, Genesis is clear on the ceation of man, it says nothing of evolution, or anything else, God made man right then and there, most of us Christians believe that, Im sorry if we cannot entertain added speculation.

It said God created man. But it didn't say that God didn't use evolution to do it! God didn't mention anything about relativity or quantum mechanics either in the Bible, but those are no less true.

Actually no, I'm never completely sure of myself. Especially when it comes to Faith.
The difference between us is that I am not accusing you of contradicting the Bible. Your fundamental interpretation does not effect me.
You, on the other hand, have a difficult time dealing with someone who interprets the Bible in a slightly different way.

That's funny, because I thought you said that Eve was born of a woman, not "My interpretation is that Genesis is allegory, and Eve was not actually made from Adam's rib. Sounds to me like you think you've got the only correct interpretation.

It has nothing to do with being smart or dumb. There are many passages in the Bible which, when taken to mean what they plainly say, would make evolution a contradiction. If it were one or two verses I could see where it might be a questionable interpretation. But it's not. Creation, the curse, etc., are part of a theme that is never abandoned anywhere in the Bible. So the only way to shove evolution in there is with a crowbar, and if you do that, you either make G~d out to be a liar, or you're just plain wrong.

There is only one way to interpret Genesis, I have gone over this extensively in the past, the woman was made as the mans helpmeet, and while adam was sleeping God took one of adams ribs to compliment the 2 and join them as one anothers mate.

You cannot specualate on Genesis, it is clear how and why the woman was made, and it is clear on their spontaneous creation. Evolution is not an option.

All interpretations should be very similar.

What do you believe? Yes there is only one way way to interpret Genesis and that is literal, do you have an alternative way to interpret Genesis? How do you derive evolution from Genesis?

Why must everyone stray from the written word?

Anyone who believes Jesus died for your sins, is a Christian, arguing over things that will never be proven or do not fit the written word is dangerous as it creates doubt and prevents one from knowing who God really is. If God says he created Man right then and there, then as a Christian we must believe that.

God is the creator, not the evolutionist.

Have no fear God will reveal all these questions in due time.

What truth? It is still a theory, it will not be proven satisfactorily in our life time, the answers will be answered with 100% accuracy by God himself.

The people who are fooled into believing we evolved are being blinded by the devil, and therefore causing them to question the bible.

Those are the words of an unbeliever, Im sorry you believe we evolved from a group of cells, your imperfect evolution theory has much missing data, and always will, you really believe the missing link will be found? Do you think the missing transitional fossils will surface?

Both concepts are incomprehensible, we must go with the onewith the most credibility.

Those that do not walk with God will have doubts and put their faith in mans imperfect scientific theories, The more you reject God and his truths the more he will harden yur heart and the more certain of these evolution theories you will become.

the missing link is no challenge, you only have to look at chimp and human DNA to realise that the best explanation is common descent.

There are many christians on here who defend evolution just as vehemently as us atheists. I suggest you look into evolution further, you'll see the truth in it

For me to do that, and believe that means I have to question Gods account of Genesis, and with the incompleteness of evolution, I have no desire. As a Christian I look forward to meeting my savior, I really have no interest in debating speculation.
