:preach: Friends, D2 players, christians, lend me your ears! (sorry, couldnt help myself) I am starting a clan in Diablo 2 for people of general good nature and moral character. Those of you who play D2 know that it is rampant with vulgar, cruel and down right unpleasant people. Also, although D2 is somewhat old, there are new players joining every day. MY dream for this clan is to offer a home to those who seek to change the fact that the good and upright people are the minority. We will work not by violence, but by helping those who need it and offering protection to the defenseless. We can do some real good if we come together for this noble cause. If you are interested, please tell me on the board. If I can get even just a few more members then I'll tell you my account name so that we can meet on D2. So come join in our crusade! Help improve your gaming experience and that of others! :o Whoa, ok, I know that doesnt sound like me, so don't get used to it;) , but for real guys, join up. I think we can make this work.

You're talking about PKers, Dupers, Scammers, Hackers and Xfer thieves, right? Yeah, they're annoying.

I'm not Christian, but I know how you feel. I was almost scammed for an um rune once - I wanted to buy an SoJ from some sorc, and the sorc showed me the SoJ. I accepted, bu the sorc cancelled, saying s/he needed to clear some space, then came back. When I saw that the sorc replaced the SoJ with a ring of Apprentice, I left the game.

It's all about just being careful, that's all.

Well, the clan won't be exclusivly christian, in fact my second in command isn't very religous from what he told me, but I am primarily looking for good people. I just thought it would be easier to get more recruits of that caliber on this sight. And yes, the scammers theives dupers etc are the people I am hoping to cut the numbers of. I figure, since the big wigs at battlenet won't do anything at all about them, then maybe we should start doing it. Not necessarily by violence though.

So i'll get back to you about it. hwoever, obviously, i'd b a newbie, which means not much help if/when i do get involved. but anyways..

Man, I'd have to start a new char. (my 'zon expired due to lack of play) sounds cool, but don't know what kinds of time I could devote. Any rate, good luck and if you get enough ppl, pm me and maybe my husband and I would join. Gonna be hard we're trying to work through NeverwinterNights and Dungeon Siege now too. So many games so little time.

I thank you all for your support, I would be glad to have any of you join no matter how much time or experience you have. If you have to start a new char, I couldn't think of a better way. This is going to start as sort of a philanthropist group until we get more members, so we can really start using our strength to make a more of a difference. However, the main idea is in deed to draw people in in order to keep them from going bad. I don't want this to become a vigilante justice kind of thing, so don't get that idea. If any of you wish to join, you may try to whisper me as either Simonze or stealthgal, these are my two primary characters, and if I'm on, it'll be as these two. Or you could tell me here. The sooner we can get a large number of members the sooner we can begin carrying out our mission in full scale, so please, even if you can't join, tell a friend. Once again, I thank you all for your help.

You are so lucky that your husband games with you. My husband and I used to be gaming buddies before we became Christians. But after that, my husband lost his interest in gaming. I play on PS2 now because it just seems more enjoyable as a solo player. But I still have all my PC games that I enjoyed. If you ever want to play D2 LOD; Neverwinter Nights; or Dungeon Siege, I'm up for it!

Does that mean you'd be willing to join?;)
Sure! It sounds fun. If you want to play some D2 LOD one week night, like on tuesday or thursday evening, I can meet you online. I have characters up to about the mid 20's.

So far I have only home based chars. for the games, but it'd be fun to get together in a bigger group too. Sorry you and your husband don't game anymore. We find it as a great cheap date after the kids are in bed. Latele we've not played because of a busy back to school schedule, but maybe we can try to get a group together here sometime soon.

Alright then, you can whisper me as either Simonze or stealthgal, so if you're ever on, send me a message and I'll come meet you. So far I have about 7 clan members, and I'm hopin for more. I just tested out a recruiting method last night (youre gonna love this) mass rushing. Basically, I get on and rush a bunch of people at once. The catch is, I do it for free and after we finish I ask em if they want to join. Last night one guy joined automatically and I have another guy who is going to make his decision today. I would have doen it with more members of the clan helping, but only one was on and she was busy with something, so I did it alone. It's prbably gona rock with multiple people doing it at once.
