CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

But yes, most Christians in Israel, especially the Old City of Jerusalem, are either Orthodox, or a type of traditional Catholic. Protestants/Messianics in the Holy Land are almost all recent American transplants...
Just curious though, what is your question? I know a few Orthodox Christians who are from the Holy Land, and many more who have been to pilgrimages there....

well I do think that there are Protestant American Christians with Jewish grandfathers.
but they are not Messianic and the Messianic have to become Catholics or Orthodox believers as the Arab Christians.
because the Greek Orthodox Church and the Greek Catholic Church are the Predominant churches in the Middle East.
there is also a Roman Catholic church and Maronite Catholic church in Israel.
there are also Arab Christian villages like Peqi'in with druze Majority, Mi'ilya and Fassuta- Greek Catholic Villages, Al-Jish Christian Maronite Village, Kafr Yassif Arab Christian with a Muslim Minority Village that became a small city.
