No, I don't believe that the garbage that these groups produce come from God. If they were good songs, yes I could see that happening, but these are just terrible songs, about God, not from him. These people just don't know how to do anything eles for a living. Can you imagine Jody McBrayer of Avalon working at a gas station or the local factory?

Ok, then to fit into the context of a Christian artist/band, I'll go back to Audio Adrenaline. I used to work at a Family Bookstores, and heard their stuff for probably the first 4 years they were around. At no time did they do anything worthy of having a record deal.

And Michael W Smith is only still successful because he jumped on the worship album craze, otherwise, he'd be long since done as well.

Are we as the body of Christ not to lift one another up, and encourage each other? Are we not to walk in the example of Jesus and love each other well? Hmmm...don't see how this is possible when we are tearing down ministries that (whether they are OUR personal tastes or not) have done nothing but get the message of the gospel to those we who are not in the industry have the opportunity to. Just my opinion...

i don't think anyone one was trashing anybody. we were just stating our veiws on it. it IS ok not to like a certain band you know. also we weren't tearing down their ministries i am very aware these bands DO have good ministries and praise God for it.

Check again.....when's the last time one of those bands played a REAL secular venue? A club or a bar even? Just because they play an arena, doesn't mean they're out 'spreading the word'. They are self-serving a bunch of Christian kids, not preaching to the lost.
