There are many facets to Chrislam. I like the way that CBN defines Chrislam. They define it as a blending of both Islam and Christianity. In the video their focus is upon Muslim converts to Christ who still attend the mosque and still pray to allah. They have mixed both religions together.

This video is quite long but worth the time to watch. This issue makes my top five list for the most important issues facing the church today.

Chrislam November 2013 Rick Warren False teaching Chrislam One World Religion Emerging - YouTube

I have not followed Jack Van Impe very much through the years , but he does a good job with this issue.

In the video he mentions June 26, 2011.

On this date an organization known as "faith shared " asked congregations across America to join together to organize events where clergy would take turns reading from each other's sacred texts.

Faith Shared - Uniting in Prayer and Understanding

Faith Shared asks houses of worship across the country to organize events involving clergy reading from each other’s sacred texts. An example would be a Christian Minister, Jewish Rabbi and Muslim Imam participating in a worship service or other event. Suggested readings will be provided from the Torah, the Gospels, and the Qur’an, but communities are encouraged to choose readings that will resonate with their congregations. Involvement of members from the Muslim community is key. We will also provide suggestions on how to incorporate this program into your regular worship services. And we will assist local congregations in their media and communications efforts.
Here is a listing of the churches which agreed to hold these inter faith times of worship. As is obvious , this is not some backwoods fly by night organization. This is a national group which has a large following of churches. All of these churches had joint interfaith worship services between Christians and Muslims and sometimes Jews.

On the video they talk about Tony Blair and his interest in the inter faith movement.Tony Blair says that this is what he wants to spend the rest of his life doing. he counts it as the single most important cause that he can be involved in.

Tony Blair Faith Foundation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tony Blair Faith Foundation is an interfaith charitable foundation established in May 2008 by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

The Foundation was launched in May 2008 in New York at the headquarters of media group Time Warner. In his speech, Blair outlined the Foundation's aim that "idealism becomes the new realism", and that one of its goals was to "counter extremism in all six leading religions" (i.e., according to the Foundation, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, and Sikhism). Blair said that while in office he feared being exposed as a "nutter" if he had talked about his religious views. Former US president Bill Clinton attended the launch, describing Blair as "a good man as well as a great leader". In an interview with Time magazine, Blair said the Foundation was "how I want to spend the rest of my life"

Now bear in mind that how one defines extremism in Christianity becomes a crucial point in defining the goals of this group. Blair says his foundation is targeting extremism in all six religions. So how does he and his group define extremism within Christianity ?

My observation is this. The group within Christianity that is being defined more and more as the extremists are the ones who consider Jesus to be the only way and who consider the Christian religion the only right religion and all other religions false. Sometimes one needs to read between the lines or do a lot of back round reading to hear what is really being said here.

The intolerant ones are being defined more and more as those who think " their way " is the only way and " their religion " the only religion. It all sounds great to get rid of the extreme outer fringes. But how far does the extremist label extend ? Does your church fall into that category ?

The thing that makes this dangerous is that people like Bill Clinton are working with Tony Blair on this and they are helping to lay the ground work with the United Nations and various other influential groups to make this happen. This will not always be an issue that we get to decide for ourselves whether we want to participate in it or not.

By the way , Tony Blair , a convert to Catholicism , reads both the Bible and the Koran everyday for personal edification. He considers himself to be a moderate and not a religious extremist.

The Tony Blair faith foundation. Do some reading about this group if you want to educate yourself about the inter faith movement sometimes known as Chrislam. They are working though political channels towards their goals concerning the world's religions.

You do realize Yitz, that the more you talk about this the more people learn; and some of us are siding more and more with "Chrislam" ideal rather than your personal disdain for the movement?

I see nothing wrong with people making peace. Christianity and Islam have a long history of strife. We still do. We started the Crusades. We still hold military advantage over Muslim countries, which I'm sure they feel the weight of every day of their lives. It's only right if Christians make the first move toward peace.

Obviously Chrislam has much more to do with finding common ground than it does with starting a new religion where both sides have to compromise their spiritual beliefs. If an ex president from the USA, and an ex Prime Minister from the UK are working together to create something here; then we can be pretty sure that it is not focusing on religion but on the politics and cultural differences.

Like I mentioned in the other thread, there are different levels of Christianity:

1. There is a cultural identity, where we are a "Christian" nation because our official holidays are Christmas and Easter.

2. There is the religion of Christianity, which includes a whole lot more people than what we've been taught in Evangelical Churches.

3. And there are those who have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Many of us have been taught that "Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship." In which case, why do we care what the religion of Christianity does? So what if .02% of "Christians" are thinking that Islam isn't so bad after all? Considering we are taught in church that most Christians aren't *real* Christians anyway, what do we care if they start flirting with the god of Islam?

But of course, for many Christianity is simply a cultural identity. And culturally, we are taught to hate and fear the Muslims. Any attempts made to repair this breach is 100% godliness IMO.

I imagine your concerns are that some will try to compromise the "relationship with Jesus" part of Christianity, by associating Allah with God. And yes, some will attempt to do so. But I say, that if we are willing to compromise in the areas that are of no importance to our faith, such as our culture and even our religion (because we don't have religion, but a relationship), then we will have all the leverage necessary to oppose those who wish for us to compromise that which we can't.

In fact, by giving up the things which are unimportant, we side with those who are trying to find common ground. Why? Because that is exactly what they are doing! They are not leaders of our faith telling us how we must change our beliefs, but moderators of a idea that there are misunderstandings between us, and hoping that discussion will resolve some of those issues.

The end result is not what you fear Rick Warren has on his secret agenda. The end result of Interfaith discussion is that WE get to decide what we are willing to compromise. While the Muslims decide where they are willing to compromise. If they can look at the Koran and see that "KILL THE INFIDELS!!!!!!" is not a necessary part of their daily life, then wouldn't it be worth some "give" from our end? Something that is a non-essential to our faith?

Personally I plan on pursuing interfaith dialogue and understanding as often as it comes around. Christianity has been imbedded into me from the day I was born, as a religion and as my cultural heritage. But I am willing to let some of that go, if it will make peace with my enemies. And of course, only if the things I abandon are not necessary elements of my Faith!

And I hope you realize that God created you in such a way that enables you to humble yourself when facts are presented...Seems some people just keep trying to kick against the pricks..Some are referred to in the bible as stiff-necked, but as Christians we should be willing to hear fac ts even if it means we have to admit we're wrong...Every mountain shall be made low, and every valley filled..

I am glad to her that people are learning from what I post. That was my intent. As I said , I think that this is one of the top five most important issues facing the church.

The inter faith movement is extremely popular so it does not surprise me that some on this forums will choose to side with it. I appreciate your honesty and your input.

I think that for those who take the time to look at the details of this , there will be some that choose to stand for it and some who will stand against the inter faith movement.

For myself , the inter faith movement is not something that I would ever consider being involved in. I would not have used the word disdain to describe my feelings for it, but your portrayal of my position on it is essentially accurate. I am passionately against it.

Here Rick Joyner preaches against Chrislam. Joyner says that the Muslim Jesus is not the same Jesus as the Christian Jesus and that Allah is not the same god as the Christian God. Joyner calls Chrislam heresy.

Joyner says in the video.
We have no unity whatsoever. there is no unity between Christianity and Islam.
This is a short video. Less than six minutes.

Rick Joyner "Confronting Chrislam" - MorningStar Ministries - YouTube

Here is the first of a four part series which Joyner preached concerning the threat of Islam to America. All four parts are available on you tube.

Notable quote from the video
The greatest power of darkness is darkness. Keeping us in ignorance. keeping us from understanding it and it's schemes.
Joyner says that one of my most powerful weapons is speaking the truth. In this video , Joyner says that the nation of America is facing it's greatest threat in it's history.

This video is about ten minutes and is the first of four videos in the series.

The Rise of Islam Part 1of 4 - Rick Joyner - The Threat of Islam to America - YouTube

These two links provide information about some the events and people involved. Rick Warren comes up several times. I like the way the first article phrases it.

Chrislam is the merging of apostate christianity and the ideology of Islam, and it is truly a pit of serpents and devils. One of the main founders of Chrislam and one of it’s main drivers is Rick Warren from Saddleback Church in Southern California. Warren at the same time passionately denies his connection with Chrislam while at the same time promoting it through his many ministries and outlets.
To understand where it all started, journey back with us to 2009 whereRick Warren addressed a the annual meeting of the Islamic Society of North America. He opened by telling the audience how much he had in common with Muslims and the ideology of Islam. He preached a pro-globalization message of uniting together at any cost by laying down our differences.
