NEW to our home

The weather, in this tank, is 'WET' [humid]
Windy around the aerator stone
Gusting around the filter outlet
while backing clouds of detritus hit the filters
Temperature: a little warmer than 'tepid' with heater STILL WORKING

I have a brother still alive, but we have never been close...My family has not been very good at being a family.

And I think I was depressed even as a child...my mom was a very bitter woman, she passed that along to me. Thes last years in the Lord have been my best years for sure, inspite of illness and infirmities and I thank Him for His faithfullness to me. What a God He is!!!!!!!!

not a good couple days at work. durring my two days off one of my coworkers managed to get my boss mad at me (gossip). I came back to something I didn't expect to come back to. In addition to that, we operate from a list. she writes it and we complete it. sometimes I need clarification because the directions are too broad and I want to be sure and do what she wants. that always causes a problem. For instance, list said fill in clearance. To me before I had went over and looked at where the clearance aisle is, it meant fill in the holes. then I find 6 foot of empty space directly alongside the clearance section... Didn't know if she just wanted the holes (a minor job) filled or the empty space as well (a major undertaking).. Knowing that she would get mad if I bothered her at home I texted her anyway. I'm sure the text upset her because she was no longer at work and I didn't' get the larger space done (that is what I finally decided on my own). I got it about half done and ran over a bit on my time. which made the workers angry because it took them an extra 15 minutes to get out of there. I feel like my coworker has sabotaged any chance I had for peace and a good working relationship with my boss. things are just so tense now. Also, I don't rush well. cash was off only 4 bucks. Probably from making change???? but no time to fix it since I was already late.. Left it for the morning manager.. Not a big deal operations wise... just a makes me look dumb (not being able to count)... just pray that God softens the situation and either relieves the tension at the workplace or finds me something else QUICKLY. I'm so tired of living like this.

Sometimes I think I'm simply too old and two slow to be effective at my job and that snowballs sometimes into something worse when most of your coworkers are so much younger than you. some of them are younger than my child. I know you cannot show compassion for someone else's infirmities until you experience it yourself.. But, I need to be able to take care of myself. All I'm asking for really is to be happy in my work. (Well, I'd like a little pride too I guess .) At my "Other" job I see my boss getting some of what I get from her peers and It upsets me because I like her. I am in a unique situation to "Sell" in one district and "work" in another. The District Manger I "Sell" under is not always kind when talking about the District Manager I "Work" for. Gossip is damaging. Maybe the two things are related in some way.???

You are NOT alone in feeling like that; Hubby and I talk about it all the time, because WE HAVE BEEN THERE!

It is what it is...we ARE older and a bit slower; it is time to prepare for retirement, but we can't...we must continue working for a bit longer.

In the meantime, it requires self awareness (knowing who we are and what we can do) and a big dose of humility as we realize we are not perceived in the best light, even though we are doing our best.

We are what we are....mature, responsible, reliable adults who are doing the best we can each day with God's grace, in a faster paced world, with co-workers young enough to be our kids.

Daily I pray for my hubby, who faces what you face (and I used to).
I will be adding YOU to my prayers as well ~ for direction, strength, hope, peace, and a fulfilling position that meets your needs.

That is true, I used to think about all my "hurts" and talk of them, even try to dig them up with therapy...but found that made everything worse. I have slowly been changing to think of what is written in the word, how it fits together, OT to NT, how to apply it to my situations...how God has planned life for me eternally, etc...my thought life is much better, and I feel better.

Yet, there have been times when I could have used a lot of prayer support and did not share exactly why...I also learned, (in church)...it was not safe to share personal problems, they got spread all over with gossip. Pastors are not always safe either.

I see a good example in the Psalms, those writers were very honest with the Lord and poured out their hearts to Him, thought of His majesty and built themselves up in His faithfulness. I am trying to learn to do that too.

Trying to find the balance of sharing and keeping quiet is continuing to develop. (wish I could spell better).

My amen to this wise prayer...I do not work outside the home, but can see life is all about being young and quick...not wise and dependable. Wow! I can quit being so hard on myself...LOL.
