  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm happy to hear that everyone is having a great weekend. We are also and the big news for us is much cooler temperatures. It's a NICE shock to go from 110s to 86F, and the forecast is for more of the same into the Fall. Yeah!

I forgot to say HAPPY LABOR DAY! I wish everyone the same. My wife and I are going to have a quiet day at home and maybe go outside some to enjoy the cooler weather. We'll be going to see my daughter and the grandkids on Thursday.

I had some trouble with my camera battery yesterday
and have had-to purchase a new one [presently 'on-charge']
while checking-in for my return ticket...

but, being 'open-ended' I had to have the passenger-lists 'checked'
for availability of a seat [on the day I wish to return]
All done, ticket in my pocket....
Mary advised of my timings and, the 'countdown' has started

Today's cool breezes and showery weather has done nothing to mar my stay here
It has been a lovely week here in Bristol

WE have been hot here today, but not as bad as predicted...PTL...got my teeth cleaned yesterday and no new decays were found.

I have been up very early to walk with Gracie...beating the heat, but then I am beat for a while...takes me forever to feel "right" some days. But I a thankful to be up and around as much as I get these days.

angelwind, speaking of beating the heat - we've now had our third day in a row of temperatures under 90F. This was after over 80 days at over 100F and an average of 105F. We're enjoying the cooler temperatures.

I am so glad for you magnum....what a summer for Texas... Been praying finally for the weather to change and especially for the fires to quiet down. Please Lord, mercies for Texas and their water needs.
