  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am having a Happy New Year, and I wish the same for all of you. I'm just getting over a head cold or something going around, and I'm hoping to be well in a couple of days.

Time is flying. I was just thinking that my latest grandson will be one month old in just two days. He's a calm and happy little guy and only gets upset when he's hungry. We've decided to keep him.

LOL yeah they do kind of grow on you don't they.We were all together at Christmas on a family holiday and i got lots of time with my 8 month old grand daughter. So nourishing for the soul.

It's fun to watch them and try to imagine the world through their eyes. It's refreshing in part because they aren't burdened down with problems, and their job is to explore and have fun. It's nice to take a break from the world and enjoy the simplicity and joy of a child. This is good medicine.
