Talking about 'escapades' Jan, LOL

We are taking part in a Pyjama Party [next Friday]
at the local Warden Controlled Housing Precinct

The Managers at this place...
also arrange 'trips' for the residents and 'locals' in our 'age-group'

Quite 'what' this entails
isn't exactly known to me, save,
that we bring pyjamas and dressing gowns
and get-changed after arrival
There will be food and hot drinks
A disc-jockey has been booked
[There isn't a Bar on the premises]

I will be taking my camera


I am glad you enjoyed your day, despite poor weather
and you obviously enjoyed your part in the play immensely


'Ceramics Class' starts again in September
and I look forward to finishing my 'horse'

No 'news' regarding the exhibition yet
But I will 'copy' any published details as soon as these become available

I love the countryside Jan...

Nature, and all she has going-on at any one time and, in any season of the year
I find it fascinating
Being a Town-boy, and having been brought-up within easy reach of, open-countryside
It was just so-easy to fall in love with it

I find that orienteering comes naturally to me [was a Boy Scout as a lad]
and tent living, an especially 'unique-experience'

The slideshows, display the countryside AS SEEN from the motorways over which we travelled
It is, quite another-thing, to leave the roads behind altogether [?]

I do have memories of, 'earlier and personal experiences'
and MIGHT have been a knowledgeable 'backwoodsman'
in another time and place

Dave, I once asked you how to fix my slow computer and you made me a list of things to do. I know I had to delete my "prefetch" file and I remember some other things. I had printed it off but now I can't find it and I wanted to do it again. Do you remember where it was at? Sorry, I feel like such a bother. Not important for you to spend your time on, I will find it eventually. I thought maybe you might remember. Thanks. Dee

Hi everyone It is a mixed day so far a bit dull but with hope of sun later on. I notice it is getting colder here the last few days even with the sunshine. My Taiwanese student just left for a 7 day holiday to Banff Jasper and the Columbia Ice Fields then home through BC's interior lake district which is warmer. She was laughing about having to pack for all 4 seasons. I will see her next Monday night when she returns and then she is headed home on the Tuesday to Taiwan to resume teaching her English classes. I go back to work that day as well. I have enjoyed having her visit even if I usually only have homestay students one month in the summer. The time has gone SO FAST though> Jan

#3 Defragmenter

#4 DskChk
iow:_Start/ MyComputer/ rightclick LOCAL DISK C:/ click on TOOLS
click two top boxes and click CHECK NOW
you will be told that Windows requires exclusive access
and that the CHECK will start, next-time you start your PC
_click RESTART

This, will check that your harddrives are 'sound'
and that your windows files are complete and in the right-place
Any damaged Files will be replaced
and the disk surfaces will be checked for damage
any damaged sectors will be re-written elsewhere
and the damaged sectors, will thereafter be avoided by your PC

Its about 17 degrees celsius now (about 62 degrees farenheit) but the sun is shining weakly through the clouds. It was a lot cooler this morning. I changed into jeans tshirt and windbreaker. It is supposed to go down to 12 C (53.6 F) and rain overnight. Too soon to be so chilly. It hasn't been the hottest summer we have experiences anyway. Jan

Yes, that is cool. We are still in the high 90's this week. Sometimes this time of year we're topping out at over 100. So it could be worse.

click on DELETE and then click on DELETE-ALL
and click on OK
when the confirm-action dialog box appears
check the button against the text > ALSO DELETE SETTINGS STORED BY ADD-ONS <
and then click on YES
