  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Yes we had a pretty wet week, but it was needed. I am sure all the grass where you are has withered away to nothing Kay. We don't usually get very hot temperatures here it is a moderate climate with summer temps usually in the mid 20's Celsius (mid 70's) and our grass unless watered manually was pretty dead. It can get as high as 30 to 31 (mid 80's)but so far hasn't this year. Everyone grambles then. We don't require air conditioning in the summer at all here on the coast.
It is a beautiful day today, I was tired to napped after church and was reading. However the book I am reading by Madelene L'Engle called An Acceptable Time had some pages duplicated and the correct ones missing right at a crucial point in the story. VERY FRUSTRATING. At least I didn't spend big bucks for it. Hopefully when the Library opens on Tuesday I can get it out.
Hubby wanted to go to the beach. I think he will be cold as he isused to Mexico beaches. It is a long weekend here British Columbia Day (that is the name of our province) is tomorrow we are celebrating our 150th anniversary as a province of the nation of Canada.
Thanks for the pictures dave and Hi to Missdancerama hope you are all having a wonderful day. Jan

On a less cheery note,
I am just a little demoralized that Annie is going to have the thread on Repentance deleted, and
while I understand why (somewhat) I put my heart into a few of the posts there.
I guess I misunderstood the OP, but think it really would be a great thread topic. :)
Hi Worddancer
Quoting my REP-comment ;), to you for this/here post:
"I had that Repent-thread deleted, 'cause I did not make it plain, from the start what I meant.

so REPS for your efforts in that thread, right here. *enjoy* your weekend :) Annie "
__________________________________________

As I explained in the former Thread, I did the Responsable-thing, and
Notified a supervisor asking merely for "deletion",
Fully intending to state better, up front what its REPENT-Learning-purpose was, as well as my intent.

(to clarify: Never did I intend that thread being used, as a chance for
someone to "preach" scriptures at others
: as that very tactic has been found as one of the ways
predatory-perpetrators excuse  their horrific-actions, thus feeling encouraged ^_^ to continue... victimizing.)
Allowing yourself to feel 'demoralizing' was counter-productive, so don't go there.

Reading the new thread will hopefully help you understand, better.

Again, I Hope you enjoyed a nice weekend :) Annie

Hope you're enjoying long week-end! It is VERY hot here. Yesterday did reach 107 with the same predicted today. Most people here do water their grass regularly. If you don't this summer, it is gone! Last summer we had a very rainy summer and didn't have to water much...at least the first half of the summer.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Hi all!!!

I am back from my vacation. It started out rough as nothing went according to our plan but we kept a good attitude and God rewarded us with a plan B and even though my husband was called back to work early and could not go with us my daughter and I had a good trip, although cut short.

I missed all of you!

Dee

PS It sounds like we are not the only ones having a bit of a heat wave. It's been in the high 90s with thunder showers so the humidity is high. Heat advisory everyday. (Coastal North Carolina)

Welcome Home. It's too bad your vacation had to be cut short. Where did you go?
We are going to have upper 80's for the rest of the week and weekend and they promised NO MORE RAIN!

Hi, KeepTrying! Welcome home. Bummer about your husband being called back to work. Glad you were able to make the best of it though!

Missmsdancerama~~please send your excess rain to Texas!!!! We got just an itty bit of rain this morning (maybe sparked by the tail end of Hurricane Eduordo) but we sure need more. At least they said highs were only going to be about 90-92 today. We've been hitting 107 lately. Hope it rains some more!

Welcome back keeptrying. Glad you had some fun, it would be hard not to feel a bit frustrated about the early call back. Hope it didn't damper the joy too much. It is a lovely day today I am waiting to hear when I can pick up my son from the ER as he has an accident at work and has to have xrays. gg

Thank you all for the warm welcome back.
gg: hope all turns out well for your son and he did not get badly hurt.

I spent hours today installing a new version of my virus protection. I finally had to delete the old version to get it to install correctly. I'm glad that is over for another year. lol
