  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Good news Amadeus, and you are making precious memories every moment.
I am also enjoying getting out. We got to Idaho today where the sun actually shines....it is such a blessing. More blessings to you all. Hope those cameras are busy capturiing some great pics.

Over my lifetime I have been to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA more times than I can count, but this trip has brought me closer to each and every family member than ever before. My little digital camera has been clicking away continously with nearly 1000 pictures taken so far and one last long day to go. [I have also downloaded into my laptop all of the many pictures taken by my son-in-law thus almost doubling the number.]

God has truly blessed me and mine. To Him indeed should all of the glory always be given! He alone is worthy! If there is any "good" in any of us, it is a part of Him for as Jesus said:

"...there is none good but one, that is, God..." Matt 19:17

That is a lovely place. When I was a child my family used to take 3wks vacation and we would drive from Illinois all the way to the west coast. I have relatives who live in Washington State, and Oregon. We'd take the Northern route out there and the southern route back home. It was great. Was a lot of the USA.

Yes, this country like this world is full of the beautiful things of God. We are very blessed indeed when we are given time to enjoy them in the natural. The sharp contrast here brought to my own mind is the terrible situation for those in the devastated areas of Myanmar and of China.

While we enjoy God's blessings we must never forget that we are under His covering and how quickly He could remove if at any time we take our eyes off of Him!

Let us continue to pray earnestly for His will in all things!

That was way back in 1962 the year of Seattle's World's Fair. We had 3 adults and 3 kids all in a chevy wagon. Us kids would collect things along the way. Like placemats from restrauants, tickets from shows we saw, postcards. Everynight before we would go to bed, we had to write a short story on what we had done that day and what we saw. When we got home my Mom would help us make a scrapebrook for keeping. I think I still have that book in my attic.

I was unable to attend that fair, but a few years later I went up on the Space Needle there.

CHANGE

is a continuously-progressive [sometimes regressive] amendment/ alteration
to the presently-established/ present-scenario

I have a change, up and coming, on June 3rd

This is when I alter to my new phone provider

because... for, twice the line rental that I paid for the old one
I get FREE landline calls and calls to prescribed mobiles
ie: inland and prescribed international calls [at anytime]
and
will get FREE Broadband connection
at the same bandwidth as, I presently have BUT with no DOWNLOAD LIMITS

Presently I pay: £10/ $20 per month for phone line rental
and pay calls on top of that
last bills show that our calls cost @ £20/ $40 per month

My Broadband [with Orange.co.uk] cost me a further £17.99/ $35 per month

So, this change has-benefits
in-form, expenditure reduction, without loss of, access
I am as yet unaware of a downside to this 'move'

I will however let you know just HOW 'talk-talk' perform for me
and yes....
I can always move again [after the 18 months contract expires]

Hi Missdancerama hope you had a lovely evening. The only World's Fair I ever attended was Expo 86 and that is because I live in Vancouver. It was fun fun fun. I remember hearing about the Seattle Worlds Fair though I think I was 12 or so at the time. We lived just a bit too far away to make going worthwhile.
I am glad you are enjoying your holiday Amadeus. Nite nite to all see you tomorrow. Jan

TGIF to you. I was 12yrs too when we went to the Seattle's fair. I'm hoping that someday the World's Fair will come back to the Chicago,IL area. I think that would be really cool.
You have a nice day. I must get ready to go to work before my hubby yells about the time. We drive together because we work in the same insurance office. Talk to everyone later tonight.

Hi everyone it has turned into quite a nice afternoon here. I am not planning too much tomorrow except the usual necessities like HW but Sunday I will be singing on our church worship team in the morning and then at 2 pm taking my disabled son to play the bells at an open hourse garden tour at the home where he has his day program. I am hoping this lovely weather will hold for the whole weekend. Amadeus and Spring hope the travelling is going well for you both. Shaina nice to see you you look busy. I never iron anymore. Chat looks busy busy busy here. Isn't the weather getting lovely?
I hope eveyone is having some R&R plus enjoying family and friends.

I had a great day today but yesterday was a tough day for this prayer warrior...stess one on top of another. Well, I thought of all of you and how important your prayers are for me and how important it is for me to keep praying for you too even during my own trials. Thank You for prayers..they are still much needed.

Yesterday was sooooo crazy..Tom and I both getting physically and mentally exhausted. This trip is like intense physical therapy. Then my laptop computer's hard drive had a really bad day. MY PC WOULDN'T WORK AT ALL. My trouble shooting guide suggested I open the door and give the hard drive a little shake if it wouldn't spin. I had no tool small enough to open thescrews on the little door so I just turned that thing over my knee and gave it a good old fashioned spanking......What did I have to lose at that point...Guess what??????????? IT WORKED. LOL Now I don't know how may more days this hard drive will be last. Even when I shut down tonight it may be for the last time. I immediatedly backed up my files on an external hard drive. I stay well equiped with all my pc stuff iinside the rv including a desktop pc. I am shamful that I dont like to be without the pc, we depend on it for so much.

I am passing thu Blue Spings Kansas (driving) at this moment with four hours to go to reach our destination in Missouri. Grandma has been in safe hands at the hospital. They are dependant on our arrival to release her to home. No diagnosis as yet, just more and more tests but she is not in intensive care. She has one of those legs that looks swollen and hard. Please pray for her. Thanks ya all.

I was telling Dave in a PM how cool this Mobil Broadband technology is...very reliable accept when we passed through mountains but you would expect that..same as your cell phone service.

I read back on the post but I couldn't see how the conversation of World Fairs got underway so I shall not comment. State Faire however, I have enjoyed many...Washington State fair in Pyuallup Washington is outstanding if you ever get to travel there. They have an awesome draft horse / wagon pulling team competion and show. I just like visiting all the animal barns and getting eye to eye with the horses and watching some baby cows come into the world. That is in September. ....As for Disnyland....I wish I could do it again.

Springrain, keeping you in prayer!

Just a quick P.S. on World's Fairs. Growing up close to NY got to go to the 1964 World's Fair several times and what a thrill it was. Still pass the Unisphere -- the big globe that was built and remains -- often. Also went to Expo '67 in Montreal with my parents and had a wonderful time and also a World's Exposition in Knoxville, in (I think) 1982. Does anyone else remember the Knoxville Fair?

keeptrying, buttercup, dave, missdancerama and spring. Good to see you all. I tried to make the multi quote work but it wouldn't not sure if it is the system or me. I only got on site briefly yesterday morning then the rest of the time it said site couldn't be found. All my other internet links worked fine so assume they were working longer on it that they at first figured.

Thanks so much for this spring I sure needed prayer yesterday still interceding re the pull out of youth leaders and the mass exodus of the kids involved in the program.
Asking God for wisdom and discernment for myself and for our church. It is tough though can't eat etc and don't rest well as I feel the need to be constantly in prayer.
Missouri is were my paternal grandfather is from, I have never been there though. Is it nice? Anyway I must scoot now and feed the dog and get the troups up for church. Love to all Jan
