A few notes in-report

Over 48+ years I have been a smoker
I still have lungs - it's the veins that have probs

When I started at eleven years of age Childhood Bronchitis
was chased out the back door

As I now attempt
to to remove tobacco from my daily life
the coughing returns as night closes in
and also in the early mornings as I rise

It isnt good for me I KNOW!

Mary is asthmatic
and to give us both best chance
it's best I didnt SMOKE

you just have to turn back when the light comes on

it isn't easy because I feel it tugging at me all over

For the harm I do myself and others around me also
I pray that I will escape Satan's clutches this-time

my nose samples the air after a storm
clean ozone my Lord has been here
the water has entered the soil (elsewhere called a system)
the roots of plants take it up and passes it on (in transpiration)
we breathe of the air, consume from the land
and drink of its gathered-in waters

we observe of the living in growing plants around
(that maybe communicate in different languages for) they make not a sound to our ears
and when in sorrow or joyfulness we are found
the water we exude as tears
do then copiously and efflusively abound

are able somehow with Peace to enjoin

I pray that relief will come to stay with you and Barb
this-day and that you be given time to take-in OTHER THINGS and see changes in your life this-way

I am truly sorry for letting myself down today

Whilst before I had it
my feelings had been sort-of greedy with hunger

afterwards I could question myself
as to the worth I had attached to possession
and the smoking of a ciggy
It wasnt worth punishing myself so much to get one
I had no REAL NEED for it
am looking for the rest of my patches
and will buy again tomorrow


Start again
Day One is complete at lunchtime tomorrow
maybe am more-strongly determined to stop

I wanted to tell you what God did yesterday. My daughter and her familly were in a collision in their little compact car--T-boned by an SUV traveling 70 mph, the police estimate. My daughter was in the passenger seat of the side that got hit, the four-year old in a booster seat behind her, and the baby and two-year old in car seats in back.

My daughter was injured and is in the hospital with broken ribs, a fractured pelvis, a somewhat collapsed lung and slightly lacerated liver. In spite of her injuries, she did not need surgery. Her husband is bruised but otherwise okay. The babies are fine, the four-year old lost a couple of baby teeth.

But they should have been killed, all of them. How can you get hit like that and come out with so little injury?

I believe God intervened.

I haven't been able to sleep much. I'm going up to the hospital this morning during ICU visiting hours.

If the Lord puts her on your heart, please pray for her and her family. Her husband is really shaken up.

Ariel, we shall certainly uphold these precious ones before our Lord. They have been spared for just cause and we shall look forward to hearing how the Lord will use them down the road.

Pray the Lord He protected your dear family! I'm so sorry that your daughter suffered the worst of it but as a mom I'm sure she is very glad it was her and not one of her babies. I rejoice with you Ariel that the Lord spared their lives. Every time they come to mind, I shall pray for them. Please keep us posted!
