• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

that is so kind of you. the present one is a regrowth - something we were assured would not happen again because the neurosurgeon reckoned he had excised all the tumour during 8 hours of surgery. Anyway, he was wrong and it is back again. Husband's name is Rob.

Blessings

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this again. I pray that the Lord will give you both strength and perhaps there are new treatments now.

Thanks Dave. It will take me a little while to figure it out, but I will work on it today.
I guess I wasn't the only one that got busy over the holiday's and didn't get a chance to check in.
Have a great day.

By posting your pics at photobucket and pasteing their urls here
IT DOESN'T MATTER how BIG they are

to SHOW pics that fill the pages here,
ie: without adding scroll-bars to enable full pcture viewing
YOU NEED, to reduce the PIC SIZE
before, you send them to photobucket

I suggest that you do a properties-page check
on 'copies' of pics you wish to show
and NOTE: the pic size [in pixels]

then, post one of them here
if, it appears BIGGER than you wish
reduce them in PAINT in terms of percentage
[say: 90% of original TO BEGIN WITH]
send that to photobucket having altered the 'picname'
~ image001a.jpeg, then image001b.jpeg
THEN.... EDIT the url shown to each new one
and repeat this procedure
until you arrive-at Your IDEAL pic-size [?]

In future....
send only pics of, this 'ideal size' to photobucket
to enjoy seeing full page views
that remain viewable in usual thread size

I set my camera to take 1Mb sized pics [limit]
and file sizes vary around 500Kbs each on average

Nighttime view. It looks like you are standing on a rooftop looking at a real town.

That is delightful It looks pretty well all in scale too. My MOM in law has a village that my son puts up for her every year. It is beautiful but the houses are not to scale. I love Christmas decorations but they are hard to put up and hard to put away. Jan

I actually have a spare room in my house and I think I will make it my next Christmas project to build a Christmas village in it. I love to go garage sale-ing and picking up an item or two ever so often at a sale, I imagine I can put together something that will please the grandbabies, not to mention their parents! In fact, that might just be everyones Christmas present next year...I'll keep the door closed until we have our gathering at my house and then 'open the present'! Thanks for the inspiration!

Ley I know you will be working hard on your essay. Later you can tell us about it.
nj I remember as a little child loving stuff like the Christmas village although I never saw anything like that in someones home just department store displays.
Claire would you make it a permanent Christmas Room. that would be cool. Jan
