I just couldnt resist this lovely red dress. Its only temperary though for a dress up contest...

Not exactly what you'de wear to morning coffee eh?
But it looks so beautiful on you!! And that soup hummmmmmm
Ah, you all look gorgeous, and Spring, you are stunning!

And I love your soup! Yes, send some this way as well.

As for our bottle of goodies for nasal sufferers...well, I admit Spring's soup is much better.

But isn't it always so good to laugh!
No but if we don't laugh at ourselves who are we going to laugh at?? Colds, though are not a laughing matter especially at "our" age??!! right??
Happy St. Patty's Day to you both

When the Ticket-price of 'inclusion' is to be like everybody else,
it lets one know real quick, who are

*true-friends*. A few still value "individuality"

There is only one thing better for the cold than the soup and that is having a little horseradish on the side !

Thanks for all the compliments on the red dress... although I always wanted one like it... it is not exactly everyday wear ...I did get on the honorable mention list in the Dress Up Contest over at the Blessing Exchange. I will keep the lovely red gown for evening out next time Im in Paris.

It is time to dress for spring though, so here goes...for a walk in the garden and quiet refelction.

Oh Dear Friends, please don't forget to visit the Garden Thread if you have something to add.

Hey Jim and Jan,
My Grandparents used to go out and get leeks and my Grandma would come home and make homemade bread and for a meal they would have raw leeks and bread and butter(Yum!!) They would also cook them and we would have them like spinach with butter and vinegar on. Then my Grandpa to make the whole house smell great would not only have the leeks and bread but would they could they would buy Limburger cheese(do any of you know how BAD that stuff smells????)and put that on the bread with the leeks on the side(us kids couldn't quite handle that) boy what memories this brings back

Sorry going to change the subject a little here.
Both sets of grandparents, and parents and the kids traveled a little today(thank heavens the weather cleared up a little) cause the kids Awanas group(Christian group for kids) took part in the Awanas big game fest(kind of little March madness for Awanas) Anyway we were there for about three hr. with about 100 kids in the gym all playing games and having a great time!! Well our little group of kids from this neck of the woods came in first!!!!Yea Yea Yea, that was the first time in five years that they even placed let alone come in first. On the way home we were all talking how nice the games were and how organized they were, when finally someone said "and you know what there was no fighting, no bad words, & no one ever ever EVER questioned a ref!!!! Not one kid opened his mouth and uttered a word to a ref about his call or why or that wasn't fair or none of that!!! Can you believe it we were there for 3hrs. people and not one parent got thrown out of the game or anything!!!As we talked about this it was truly amazing that in this day and age this big of group of people can gather and not have one bad thing happen. It was great!!! This all took place in a secular school and sports is big and a lot of their kids came in and watched. I pray that somehow and in some small way our kids were able to witness to them or some unsaved person watching there today just by the way a game was PLAY or should I say NOT PLAYED. I am so proud of those kids and their parents.
Thank you all for letting me ramble on, now anyone else ready to brag a little??
Bless
Bonnie:wave:

And a happy St. Patty's day to you all, too!

Yes, aren't grandchildren great! I just came back from visiting my six-year-old granddaughter in Houston. She's gorgeous and bright and brilliant and gifted and highly intelligent, and did I say gorgeous? :)

Bragging? Am I bragging? To be sure, on St. Patty's Day, can't I tell you all a bit of the truth?

Aw, Bonnie, I just loved hearing about those games and good times you all had! And OF COURSE you can brag. We're talking about grandchildren, right?

Hi Spring :)

Yes, GOD does have things worked out;

yet did I mis-understand you saying you have been having Health-challenges for some years, including diabetes. That led me to believe that you, yourself, have not yet got things worked out; hence my previous post. (Forgive me if you did not say that; it would be nice were that not the case).

It would be Good-news to hear otherwise, and that you are *Enjoying positive... emotions continually...* ~ know what I mean? :)

Annie,
after reading your post, I was left with the feeling that you believe all health problems we have, are a direct result of us not working things out
with God. Is that what you are saying? If so, what about tiny children who have diabetes?
Please help me understand what you are saying?
MommySue
Hi (mommysue)- Cindy :)

Forgive me, I just now today noticed your post. ~ I spend very little time in this 'Chit-chat' thread. Mainly because I enjoy discussions that (of elsewhere), actually Help people out...:p, and
into...
well, (more often than not) people I've been invited to help describe their new-found joys... as
akin to their
'promised land' as one individuals prefer spending their time in... much :D better.

We can continue this in a new-thread below, on this topic of
"suffer Not. *Joyfulness*? I will relish... "

Cheers!! :clap:Annie

What do you mean "grandparents", Bonnie ;)

I raised my daughter, in like fashion :D (and this was in the '90's :)) And
I know at least 2-dozen other Homeschooling families, living in the sticks ~ who
to this day *enjoy Growing their own leeks & spinach, Baking their own bread*, and
serving :yum: all with good butter ... :yum: ... .yummy !!!
