Well I guess you heard my tale of woe, but besides that I'm doing allright. The wood pile is getting low again so I guess next week I'll have to make sure the chainsaw is ready to go. Cant' wait

Wish I could help you with the wood. Afraid I can't even hold the old chain saw off the ground, let alone pull the rope to start it. I gave it away.

Wife got me a smaller saw, but it is only good for limbing.

I do have a door to work on. Well, getting a new one cut to fit where the last renter of my village house kicked the door in. I am picking up a new door tomorrow and then start cutting it down to size.

Happy Saturday everyone!
Not that I have done alot with my day so far.
But I will say that the sun is shining here and it looks so nice out. Maybe I should just take a walk and enjoy the air for awhile.

Hi everyone.

Well, our Great Dane of 14 years took a downturn in the night, and on the advice of veterinary, we had her put down this morning. She was totally paralyzed in the hind quarters...no way to live, but she is sadly missed already.

I am so sorry to hear your news. That is so sad.

We had Leo at the animal hospital yesterday and back at the vets again for a follow up appointment at lunchtime today.

Thanks folks. It was inevitable, but we were hoping to get past Christmas.....Still, one must not allow a pet to suffer, when the damage is irreparable. Danes normally live to 8 or 9, and at 14 she did well.

just read and I am so sorry for you Jim, I took know how hard that is to do. 14 years is a long time. and I am sure she was a very special part of your family.
