Tonight we had popcorn and brandied eggnog as we sat in front of our little tree watching the snow fall, and listening to Christmas CDs.
What a lovely evening

Hello Sister Gail,
I read about your hospital stay and your progress. I'm very happy that you're home and doing so well. You will be in my prayers. I just brought my wife home from the hospital in Oklahoma City last night. She had an esophogeal hernia repaired and is also doing extremely well. God is so good to us.

Praise God for that hope and progress, and continued prayers for her healingGood News !!! .... "it always comes, in threes"
Mary has been drinking [eating] "Build-Up"s
They are a food supplement for people with digestive problems
and 'half a serving', of a chicken curry that I made earlier
With Mary's 'problem' in mind
I shredded and chopped the chicken real small
she placed the remaining 'half' into the microwave
to continue/ throw away later
So, along with the soups and those special fortifying foodstuffs
and also her nibbling at, 'this and that' has enabled her to regain 3 pounds
Down from her usual weight of 9 stones 4 lbs [110 pounds]
to just 6 stones 3 lbs [87 lbs] is, for-sure, much reason for her concern
We will know next week
what it is, that they have found to be the reason for the surgery they are going to undertake

I agree, she has lost too much weight....PTL!
with the new foods and weight gain!!!!!
My post op visit to the surgeon was yesterday, and he was very pleased, considering how sick I was!Tuesday morning here....I will be doing some extra chores today...my washer has been unplugged for nearly a week, we are waiting for a replacement part to come from Canada....sooooo I am going to the laundromat.
Also I have to get things organized for our up coming trip. Hope people are well, and enjoying the advent season.
We are back, from the hospital
We saw the surgeon,
who explained that Mary has inoperable esophageal cancer
It began at the joint between her esophagus and her stomach
and is inoperable, because
it has already metastasized beyond the lining of her stomach
She will begin chemotherapy after Christmas
He was talking in terms of months, rather than years
but offered
that some active ladies [as Mary is] have been cured [with chemo treatment]
~from this stage.... so, we have 'HOPE'
If you are led to pray for us, please, do so
your Bro'
