Wow that is incredible. I can't even imagine how much different the lifestyle was in those days. We are so very spoiled now. My electricity went out for less then 24 hours, and it felt like an eternity. It's nice to have these modern conveniences.

Oh, I don't know....
I'm sure we would enjoy the less-complicated lifestyle, of, back-then (?)
We'd be so-much closer to Nature and, living would be so much less-expensive
We'd also be more independant

Oh well, not all changes, are, for the better

Hello all,

It's nice and bright here, but it looks as though we could have rain later on. I've spent most of this morning cooking breakfasts - a fry each for hubby and daughter - sausages, bacon, mushrooms and potato bread for him and sausages, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns and egg for her. I just had ready oats, toast with tomato sliced on top and a cup of peppermint tea. Now having late elevenses of herbal tea and mango chunks.

Read your post about your family, Dave. You've been through some hard times, nice to see how the Lord has brought you to a place of blessing.

The truth is, we have, all of us, had our trials, joys, successes and failures
we are HUMAN.... emotional, sensitive, jealous, so-often found lacking
and yet.. above all (we are) 'adaptable'
Thank God for His merciful love \o/

We are ALL, become, 'the product' of all of the good things we have enjoyed (in others)
and had our sharp edges, (so-often) worn-smooth, by all the negatives others have 'gifted' to us
Time, is a good teacher and His word, is a consoling light in our times of darkness
We are molded, by the journey we have been given to traverse, all of us, in 'different' ways
so that we become, so-similar, as we approach ever-closer to Him

Our LESSONS, have His purpose 'pulling our strings' so I
let us be so very-grateful, for our time here
so that we might LOOK-FORWARD 'lovingly' to eternity with Him

Is there a way to make the threads of the forums start with the most current posts? Some of them start back in 2012 and would take alot of scrolling to get thru. I looked under preferences but could find no solution. Thanks

Hi Mary, yes, there used to be a setting in your profile (under the old software [recently changed] )

Yes you could under PREFERENCES, alter the way you view the forums
I understanding you wish to view the posts in ascending order (new posts at the top)
and not DESCENDING new posts added to the bottom, as I am using

I view it that way so that I view the oldest FIRST, and so, I can play 'catch-up' with ease

So LOOK FOR "PREFERENCES" and alter your view of the posts

without a Rich Text Editor, to modify my posts with

to track down the facility for a user's viewing of threads in ascending or descending order
and, failed to find it ..... I will task Staff regarding this and also ask them to reply via this thread

Look to the bottom of Golden Eagles' Main Index Page
at the bottom of the frame, (and dead centre) is a very small horizontal-bar containing THREAD DISPLAY OPTIONS ???

It is there, that you find the option to read posts in descending or ascending order
Just click on the text in the bar, select ascending and then click SET OPTIONS
If you change your mind later, simply use the same process and choose descending
