Update: on Mary
Having again 'left off' her chemo tablets
for 'week three' between chemo cycles [prior to chemo]
Mary's bloods were checked and found to be "fine"
Mary had a good infusion session with no sign of adverse reaction
We brought home some 'injectables' to support her 'white cells'
which have been seen to drop in quantity and, quality, following chemo cycles
A district nurse will now visit her, for five days to complete the prescribed injections
Mary, has noticed that the chemo, is making her fingers 'cling-together'
[cramp-like] whenever they get colder
and she has trouble gripping jars, bottles and containers
~for reason her nerve endings are sensitized and almost painfully so
All in all, it has been a much better and more-comfortable 'chemo cycle' day for her
So, today we have, 4 down and 2 further cycles to-come
which will be followed by another CT scan.... to check the chemos effectiveness
Nothing has yet been heard, of the Mid-Term, CT scan [3 weeks ago]
because Mary has announced, that she 'would rather, NOT know'
Thank you all for your prayers
God bless you each one
dave
I was wondering how she was doing....
sounds like she is doing well....considering the circumstances.
My dear friend Phyllis is in surgery today....
part of a lung will be removed due to cancer.
Looks like the news is not too bad, will continue to pray for her.
Thanks for the update.
Continued prayers for Mary and phyllis
Good luck and have fun Susie
And thank you DaveTo those of you that have befriended me
~since my joining-date
including, those of you ~no longer here
For you, I will ALWAYS be so-very grateful
dave
Thanks so much for your prayer ministry...have no news on Phyllis.
We thank you for your prayers, Susie Sis'
Mary is making 'forward-progress' ie: positively
Initial anxieties, have [certainly] taken a place in history
which is, remarkably obvious ~to all who know her
She has 'lost' most of her hair from her head
~with just a thin coating remaining [no bald patches as-yet]
Today, she left the house to attend some social thing she does
and to my surprise [ie: with hindsight]
I did not ask-her, 'Where ? she was going'
Not! that I was in any way, 'disinterested'
but, in respect, of the fact that this lady
was independant for 14 years BEFORE we met
and, is self-determinate
She gave me a kiss [before leaving] and told me "I love you and I will see you later"
and 'that' was her 'last words' to me, this afternoon
To my mind, Mary is
making her way, back, to her old-self... albeit it, presently
she is [still] a shadow, of her former physical-being [a bag of bones]
Her personality, has returned 'strongly'
and her confidence, along with it
Yes, it IS, what we have 'inside' that truly-matters... our bodies, will suffice us
for he duration of our stay here \o/
Yes, prayers really do count and His grace, makes a huge difference to our lives
