Routine is comforting...wonder why that is so, but it is...

Good morning, afternoon or evening, depending on where you live.

I need to make a big apology, I have been reading all the post just now that started the beginning of December, sadly, I really had not been keeping abreast of what has been going on, please forgive me.

First, I want to say to Dave how very sorry I am to hear of Mary's cancer, I know this must have been a total shock, you have been so upbeat still and your faith is shining through, it is an inspiration to myself and I am sure to her as well. You will certainly be in my prayers and thoughts. Our dear Lord is "The Great Physician" and even if things look totally hopeless, He CAN heal, with you by her side and her attitude, I feel she has a great chance of at least some improvement.

I want to thank you also, Dave, for all the truly wonderful, inspirational pictures and verses that you post here and on other threads as well, they are always so uplifting.

Gail, I had no idea you had surgery, praise the Lord that it went well and you are doing well I will continue to pray for total healing.

Tom, I am glad you wife came through her surgery and that you both are enjoying better health, I will be praying for the both of you as well.

To the rest of you wonderful Golden Eagles, I want you to know that I think of you often and pray for you. I will give it my best to be here more and to share in joys and sorrows alike. I have been so engrossed in my own troubles, that I selfishly did not stop to think of others, I will try to not let that happen again.

I took down our Christmas decorations on New Years day, I am soooo glad to be back to normal, it has been a rough year, but I am believing for 2014 to be better for all of us.

God's blessings on everyone here.
Susie

Thank you Susie Sis'

Let us first, praise the Lord
for all that we had and have also enjoyed [prior to this diagnosis]
and will have, [to enjoy] until the end of our days

The Consulting Surgeon, while 'talking' of, keeping Mary comfortable
[as opposed to curing her]
he did offer, that active women [strong constitution] had been cured [with chemo] in Mary's 'present stage'
ie: already metastasized, [spread] from the original tumour

Whether Mary will see herself cured [or not] is beyond our control
and we have decided, to 'enjoy' every day that God gives us [as they arrive]
and meet the hurdles as we come to them
if, we stumble at one, it is our hope that will be able to get up, in time for the next hurdle

When I got engaged to Mary [on her birthday in 2007] I told her
that I wanted... at-least 30 years with her
~the end of which, is presently @ twenty-three and a half years away
I/ we surrender to His will for us, and
our prayers, are as Reinhold Niebuhr's Serenity Prayer
Whatever happens, it is meant to happen and while we might not understand
'the why's and wherefore's'
we know that He is the Shepherd of His flock and that He has no wish to bring us low

Our outcome, is already known to Him [?] and we trust in His infinite love [& mercy]

'The Lord's Prayer'

May the Lord by His grace, give you His peace,Susie Sis'

He is worthy of our trust

your Bro'

Again, I will say, your faith is such an inspiration, if I had even a tenth of it, I would be happy, you truly DO have the joy of the Lord within you.

Praise being sent for Mary.

That is so sweet.
I hope that from now on, I will be a better friend. I did not realize how much I missed it here until I came back. You folks are the greatest.

Cuz we hate change; especially as we age I think

Hi Gail, nice to be back.

Hi Susie....good to see you.

I just want to sit mostly, do less & less, but I make myself get up and "do". Now yesterday was very busy and when I get a lot of stimulation then I can't sleep so......I needed a nap today....seems like nothing gets done, but that is not really true; everything is just harder to do.

Been a busy day, just got back from Christchurch, it is 2 hours from here, so, we make it a day usually.

Weather has been lovely not too hot or cold, just right with a nice breeze.

Hope everyone is doing well, have been thinking of you.
