As Christians we can also show the love of Jesus towards others by smiling at them. I was in India several years ago with my husband. He was given quite a lot to do by a friend whom we visited for a couple of days in Calcutta. I felt a bit of a spare part, particularly as this friend made a point of thanking David for coming! However, as we walked through the slums in Calcutta I realized that I could smile at the people we passed, all of whom looked so sad.

This is so true Gillian..plus, a smile costs absolutely nothing!! When I am out at times, I find the responses are simply amazing when I do just this..smile at someone... It does MY heart good..don't know about theirs...

Good morning friends....

I am feeling a lot better, made it to church yesterday...then rested all the rest of the day...we are beginning football season here...looks like the weather may get cooler, sure hope so, I got a walk today, first time in nearly 3 weeks.

Our car was refused a roadworthiness certificate
We had to do shopping using the buses, my 'poor' little legs played me up BIG TIME

The 'refusal' cost cost me £50 [@ USD $75.oo]
The repairs will cost me a further £90 [USD $135.00] tomorrow
I suppose, I should be grateful
I wont have-to pay for the roadworthiness certificate over again
as it will be done within (ten days) of today's test

until the weekend

Dave, we need our cars too...it would be a very long walk to the store for us....and uphill all the way back. Plus carrying a few groceries.

We do not realise how much we need our car until we find out we are going to be without it for whatever reason... I do hope yours is fixed and back with you asap Dave.....I am feeling pretty lucky at the moment as I became the proud owner of a new mazda 3 back in June this year..Before that..I had a small hyundai hatchback which I had for 12 years and it certainly lived up to the name of "best small car" for that year here in Australia..2001.....

Need to start looking for a birthday gift for my daughter so may hop out a little later on and check the shops..Rolls my eyes!! Not sure where to start as she has "everything"...

I love those dogs too....they were having fun.

I do feel better, but today as the day progresses, the throat is hurting a bit again. I must go to the store, and am well enough to do that...may ask for prayer soon.
