I feel terrible today....lots of sinus pain...cancelled the dentist for tomorrow. And we continue very hot & humid.....

It's been a pretty wet summer here, so lots of things are blooming that don't normally bloom. Translation - I'm also fighting allergies and sinus.

Praying you both feel better soon

Hubby and I had a very relaxing day ~
He made a fire pit from rocks near our new patio, and when he was done we sat out for a bit, then started a fire, and cooked burgers and dogs for supper.
For dessert we made S'mores then sat by the fire until dark.
It was a 'media free day' and we enjoyed the peace and quiet ~ what a blessing

Penny was fine outside for the afternoon, but then wanted the comfort of being inside by supper time, even though her blanket and a few toys were outside
Occasionally we could hear her complain by the back door, and she was thrilled when we finally came back in the house

It sounds like folks are having too much fun and relaxation.

No, I'm happy to hear it. It's nice to find a way to relax and get the cares of the world off your mind. I'm retired, so I'm starting the weekend early.

I am better, but still sick enough to be really quiet; I have not cleaned my floors for a week....and I may miss church this Sunday...hmmm, hope not, but staying home might be wise.

It sounded,so-familiar, that as the lyrics came rolling-in
It gave me the impression I had heard it before... < but have no memory of doing-so

You are right Dave, this might be an Irish folksong...I listened to several versions on YouTube...the lyrics are soooooo wonderfully deep and peaceful to the soul...yet magnifying the beauty of the Lord....
