Hi everyone!
Yvie I get depression and anxiety, too.
It can be so hard at times.
I, too get anxiety with going out to an appointment. I did the other day.
I am praying for you to feel better.
Have you tried deep breathing?
You take in your breathe slowly and let it out slowly.
It can be relaxing.
God bless you all!!

Hi RuthD Sis'

An excellent suggestion
It is, a method for regaining CONTROL over wayward emotional stress

Hyperventilation and Angst for present and recent events, isn't good for us

Hi Yvie Sis'

It is not easy [at first] to wilfully control one's breathing rhythm
but, it gets easier and more-effective at each attempt

To begin with..... one should get themself comfortable in a reclined position
~on a bed and, without a pillow, if, so able

Tip the head back slightly, to open the throat and 'relax'

CLOSE YOUR EYES

Empty the lungs SLOWLY & COMPLETELY
and resist inhaling for a count of three ["ONE, and TWO, and THREE, and"]

Breathe in slowly over a count of three ["ONE, and TWO, and THREE, and"]
and, resist exhaling for the count of three
It is 'easier' to say these numbers in your mind ~as you proceed

Breathe out slowly [emptying the lungs, completely] over a count of three ["ONE, and TWO, and THREE, and"]
again, resist inhaling for the 'count of three'

REPEAT at least, ten times and do it twice each day and, before sleep

Next day and every day thereafter increase the 'pause time' by a single count
ie: on day two,
use a count of four between exhale and inhale / inhale and exhale
on day three,
use a count of five between exhale and inhale / inhale and exhale
on day four,
use a count of six between exhale and inhale / inhale and exhale

Eventually, you will be able to reach a count of fifteen EASILY
and also, find, that sleeping is a DODDLE to reach in future

By concentrating upon the COUNT ...
you remove your thoughts from those things that are the ROOT, of your stress
The deliberation you apply, to your breathing [to a count]
ENABLES your control over what you think about
and removes TENSION, which will also, slow an accelerated heart rate

I recall that I once worked my way up to a count 25 /26
But nowadays, I probably get to a count of 13 / 14
by which time, sleep has me in it's grip :) and I have a heart rate of @ 30 pm

Mary, often wakens me up, because I "haven't breathed for over a minute"
:D 30 seconds is a very long time, when you are waiting for something ;) ;)

Yes, take control of your breathing and, you'll find
everything else, just 'falls into place'

It does 'WORK' very well indeed...

My important stuff is on an external HD...
I will mention the malware problem to this new techi...
usually my pc will warn me...
it has in the past and I do not get into a suspicious site.

We tried to go back and do a system restore here at home...
it supposedly did that, but still would not load or start...
we will know more tomorrow.

The THING, with 'System Restore' is that it is a stored file_
that NEEDS to be located [?]

A corrupted Master Boot Record, will mean that specific files will not be found
and neither will the program location [that will handle those files]
As a register /manifest, the 'MBR' is the most essential part of the harddrive

The malware I mentioned, sits on a site, and appears as an advert does here in CF
The difference being that the user doesn't even have-to click on it _to become infected
it is sufficient for the malware, to be loaded to your screen [temporary file] along-with the remainder of the page
~as you will read in the material I will send you this afternoon

Anyone that does click on it won't be taken to the site it purports to be from

The site won't know that the malware has replaced been inserted into the genuine page program

more-later

I have my pc back...whoot!!!!!!!!

I did not have a virus...the techi said a sector in the HD was bad...he defragmented the HD and did some other things for a very low fee....I have just come online, but so far so good.

He also installed a free antivirus called...AVG.

He fixed registry errors...I do not know what that means, but you might know Dave. :)

Anyway....I am so glad we did this, instead of buying a new machine....this machine is just 2 years old...that is still new to me.

Yesssssssss!!! Congratulations Shirley Sis'

The "sector" you mentioned, doubtlessly held your links to startup programming/ applications

Had your hubby used SAFE MODE to open your computer
and then initiated a windows utility, known as 'chkdsk'
you might have recovered the computer yourselves

Windows contains a disk repair utility called; "chkdsk"

Please see the 'summary' in this page, for it's usage
How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP

There are some decent Registry Checkers out-there, but these require a great deal of care
when deleting the 'found problems'

Here is a link for advice re: Registry Errors
Registry Cleaner Reviews

I do not recommend use of any of those mentioned
I offer the above links for information purposes [understanding] only

I did not get around to gathering information
from my inbox for the promised E-mail, this afternoon /evening
as Mary was very busy here tonight / this morning

I will try to accomplish this later

I wish you troublefree browsing Shirley Sis'

We use Microsoft Security Essentials... I think it deals very well, with it's being anti-spyware /anti-malware
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/security-essentials-download
and we use TRUSTEER RAPPORT, to deal with Anti Virus /Malware /Privacy Matters, in REAL-TIME
http://www.trusteer.com/download-trusteer-rapport

Both of those, I would, without reservation, wholeheartedly recommend

I must say also, that I have heard nothing, but good reports, regarding AVAST products
But will stick with the 'personally tried and tested'

O Dave..., I am so glad to have my own pc back.....we did use the safe mode ourselves...but went to system restore...it did not do the trick....for us, having someone else fix it for us is the safest way....if we can find a good techi...we were pleased with this new guy.

So far, I am zipping along again. ((((((hugs))))).

Good morning everyone. Angelwind, I can imagine how happy you are to have your computer back in working order again. It's at times like that that we realize how much we depend on our computers, isn't it? I had problems recently with getting an internet connection and was so glad when it was sorted out.

It's a cold, grey day here - like snow is on the way - we've hardly had any in this part of the world.

Will probably be taking my son to a jewellers today - he's keen to buy himself a watch. Apart from that, I hope to do some decluttering and other household things.

Blessings,

Gillian

It really is good to be back, and I think we found a better tech support place...here, in our own town.

I am going out today...due some errands...we had snow again this week and it is staying cold...I like it for So Cal.

Hi ~ not much happening here (calm before the next storm)
We still have a big snow pack and are expecting another foot over the weekend.
We are walking on the road when it isn't brutally cold; no snowshoeing yet.
We have been feeling our age this winter, and it can be work in this deep snow cover ;)
All is well in the Lord's will and timing; so many blessings to count each day
Have a blessed Thursday everyone

AWWW Dave those pictures make me smile, how sweet.

Well I have had such a busy day catching up, I had a couple of days of a nasty migraine and couldn't get to come here for chat and fellowship with all you beautiful darlings, now I am so tired I struggling to think, just got myself a hot drink to perk me up and a snack to perk me up, I am so sorry some of you have still got snow and are so cold you poor things, I will keep prayin for you, and for those stuggling with anxiety and stress bless your heart, cos I get that too and fighting it off, thank you for the breathing exercises I often don't even realise I am holding my breath with anxiety, got to do more deap breathing and get that oxygen around the body.

I really need to relax at the moment and stop getting panicky about everything, we are moving in eleven days time, there is so much to do we have been spring cleaning the whole house, there is painting to be done, windowsill skirting etc, etc. before we vacate the property, 'scary I know' haven't much time left .

As I have not long found out about this thyroid condition and have been quite unwell, I would really appreciate prayers for strength and energy beyond normal to cope. The medication is working though because the agonising pain I was getting in my muscles have gone and my hair has stopped falling out, I had a blood test the other day to see my levels and if the anemia has improved, I am sure it has because I do feel better.

The house we are moving to is bigger so that will be good as my daughter has moved in and had so much stuff and this place is so small, so we needed somewhere bigger, the Lord has answered prayers for us because I am literally two minutes walk from the church which is great because I can't drive, and the house is near the town also just a few streets away from hubby's job.

The Lord provided a job for my daughter with better hours and more pay, so many of my dear friends and beloved on here prayed for her. Thank you all, Praise our wonderful heavenly father.

She has finally split with her boyfriend of six years that was so painful for her, and needs this fresh start. ( but that's another story that needs lots of prayer)

Also this house is so cold and the heating is rubbish, we could not believe the gas bills, way higher than our last house, it is an old boiler and is not efficient, spent many an evening with blankets and keeping the only the room we are in kept warm with a small convector heater, and only turning heating on before bed. The house we are going to is a newer heating system, and my hubby will be nearer work so that will save money on petrol. We will be better off all round with this move. YAY.:clap:

Hi Debby
I am so sorry you are having such a time with things
The thyroid illness is hard enough, without the stress of moving on top of it
Thanking God for all these blessings for you and your loved ones; I know He will get you through this tough time!
You are in my prayers ~ keep the faith
