I was 'about-to' make pancakes for our supper, when, I discovered we were out-of-eggs

So, I popped over to the store, to buy some
While there [at the till] I found I had left my debit card at-home
So, I stored the bag of 'shopping' behind the till and rushed-home to fetch it
upon my return, I popped the card into the reader, and before keying-in my pin
I looked-up and eyed some scratchcards beside the till [in particular CLOUD 9 cards]

So I bought one for Mary and one for myself
Upon my return home I offered both to Mary while saying "CHOOSE ONE"
Mary got 'zilch'
but I got two winning lines @ £2 and one line @ £1 [for £3 profit] \o/

Mary enjoyed her pancakes too ;)

Sounds like everyone is having a great evening (me included) ;)

 Good night and God bless

Happy for you Dave! I buy a lotto ticket every once in while though frowned upon by most Christians around here... it simply gives me a week to dream of what I would do with a lump sum. Maybe winning too much would be a curse. Not sure how much you got but I hope it helps you both as God can provide in many ways, lol

We're just sitting back tonight as all 3 of us have colds. Watching old movies and enjoying Shanelle. She is cutest when she sleeps! When she's up and at it...it's hard to keep up. She scurries around like a dart. Up and off the couch, down the hall, into the kitchen, back and then gone again. Today, she grabbed my yarn ball and took it all the way to the kitchen. I had to roll it back towards me...she was a riot as she chased it back! That's all for now. Good night GE's.

(((((hugs to you 2))))).

I will be out to do some errands today.

congrats on your win
.

My children LOVED my pancakes

I recall the time, when I had four of them WATCHING [with hungry eyes and noses]
from, the kitchen doorway, as I would toss-turn them in the pan
and on this occasion, there was slightly too much oil in the pan
and, as the pancake turned in mid-air, so the excess oil 'flew' onto the inside of my forearm
The children got a lesson, in how-to deal with such burns
~I placed the pan on the cooker and turned on the cold water faucet behind me
and stood there, having LEARNED....
NOT - TO 'show off'

We, in the UK, make the distinction between
INSTANT scratch-to-win cards and LOTTERY TICKETS, where one must wait, for the draw

Thank you Shirley Sis'.... it was a FUN win
iow: Three people played and lost to fund my win
I do not gamble usually and such times ARE 'one-offs'

There are, those people, that SPEND most of their income 'gambling'
I hope they recover their senses, one day SOON!!! :prayer:

We have SNOW again ... It was earlier, falling very heavily with big flakes
but, it has now eased off to a sort of, 'powder drizzle'
Mary says that rain is forecast for later, so it shouldn't lay-around too long

Have a lovely Wednesday :)

I suppose we have those more instant scratch pad things too...I just don't pay attention to what is out there...but you did get a winner, that is fun.

Hello friends...we saw more bloodshed yesterday from that cop gone nuts...one more deputy is dead, another injured seriously...the "bad guy" is supposedly dead now...he was badly charred when a cabin he was in burned down. This all happened not far from us...just a 30 minute drive up our mountain.

I have been hurting for the slain officer's family, he had a new baby and a 4 year old....

Pointless violence/murders are in the news all the time...Lord, come quickly.

We have had our eyes opened to the world of law enforcement...maybe Tom will comment on his memories of his time as an officer.

Hi all you precious beloved, I hope everyone is having a good day, I wish you all a very happy and romantic valentine's day with your loved one, if you are single I wish you a happy blessed day with positive thoughts and blessings.

My hubby and I are moving in two weeks time to the next town, so it is all very hectic, as I have been poorly (I explained recently about my under-active thyroid and anemia I have not been able to work for a for a couple of months, although I am responding to medication and feeling better the doctor said it will be a while to get the real benefits as they may have to up my after the next blood tests, but I am feeling better.

I am not looking forward to all the packing, moving is very stressful.

I am glad you feel better Debby...I agree, moving is very stressful...we have not moved in a long time now. We did sort of move in and out when we removed all our carpet and had new tile floors laid...walls painted, etc...that gave us opportunity and incentive to throw away or give away and lot of stuff.

I don't know if it's all that wrong to "forget" Valentines day after so many years of being with someone. We both forgot this morning. I was going to call and wish him a Happy Valentine's day but then I remembered that everyday is Valentine's day for us! We always say "I love you". We often ask "how are you?" (Even when in the same room for hours). We ask if the other one had a good night sleep. We ask if they need anything from the kitchen. Isn't that better than celebrating just one day? Okay, I'll call (if he doesn't beat me to it).
