I don't expect to be alone; just very low-key holidays. Shirley, from listening to a couple very "busy" friends and some relatives, much of life is made up of nothings that give the illusion of accomplishment. I think, however, it beats having too much time with nothing to do to create the facade of being busy and important.

I think that is true, a lot of activity is just empty time spent...people just think they are productive by being busy all the time.
I can keep busy with very little apparent activity going on....

I owe everyone an apology. I hate pity parties. A good friend that lives alone and her teenage son are coming for dinner. My children are alive and healthy so I have much to thank God for.

I took a short walk at sundown and watched a beautiful sunset and I couldn't help but think of how awesome, powerful, and mighty our Lord is. He made this beautiful world for me to live in and the stars that were coming out. He gave his Son as a sacrifice for me. What did I have to whine about???

O every now and then I dooooo some whining too...the light here has been so pretty this month...I need to get outside with my camera.

I messed with my fake tree yesterday. I think the dog likes the lights on it...she sits by it more.

Our indoor tree has been attacked by the birds...
and, the dogs have taken to peeing on the outdoor one ....

The 'last' of the card-making and ceramics classes for this-year
are next week...
We don't imagine we will have any need to batten down the hatches
But we will buy-in a little extra... to be sure we do not have-to carry-in too much

Penny sniffs at the ornaments but doesn't touch; the tree is on a cabinet flanked by two chairs that she looks out the window from.

I love things like that;we have all those animals here! Enjoy
