Happy Friday to those far and near. we are thinking about and preparing for a trip next week. we plan to leave on tuesday and travel by motorhome to eric's for TDAY.

Hi everyone

We had a busy day finishing up the major Fall chores, that were delayed by the hurricane.
At day's end, Hubby decided we should have our dinner out tonight :D

A restful weekend is planned, then next week we have last minute holiday preps; the family is coming here.
Thankfully the weather looks great ~ warm temps and no storms in sight

Be blessed

My daughter did something like this for us one Christmas,
and I've always felt it was one of the best gifts we've ever received.
She made an annual calendar with various pictures of the family on each page.
If I remember correctly, January was the entire family
at the time - her husband, herself, and all three sons.
Each month had a different picture at the top,
and it was a fold-up type, wall-hanging calendar.
She made it all herself on her home computer.
Both sets of parents loved it.
Just an idea for you.

Yay, these sound like, some very good ideas [plans]

A good time and much joy is wished upon you all

God bless you

We're finalizing our plans for Thanksgiving, and I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a blessed day with your families. We all have so much to give thanks for, so let's make God the most honored on this special day. I must add that God has already given us the greatest Gift we will ever receive - Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

John 14:1-3 KJV Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

I believe my mom is in her last days. The boys and I are going about an hour north of here to visit her tomorrow; also show some support for my sister. The nursing facility said they found her slumped, but she's breathing on her own at the hospital. Her kidneys failed from dehydration. Alzheimer's is such a dreadful disease!

Thank you. I've missed my mother these past ten or so years. I would have cared for her myself had I been able. She's been in that facility for six years.

Well, looks like you all have some fine plans for Thursday. My plans have changed, but I'm not sure what I am going to do.

Thanks, Tom - that's a fab idea. I've seen them in the stores where you get printing and stuff done, but hadn't thought of that myself. I think I'll work out some ideas and make them my projects for next year. I don't want to rush things. Money is a consideration too, but I can get photos printed very inexpensively at a store here and the quality is pretty good. We had a couple of hundred printed out for my other son's wedding earlier this year and the cost was really reasonable. My daughter and I made a big photo display in the foyer of the church for folk to look at. We put up heaps and heaps of photos of my son and his wife growing up, as we've known her since she was tiny.

One idea I have is to take photos of my little grandson and make a little story book, with him as the star of the book. I could write a very simple story about what he's doing - like 'The sun is shining brightly today. Bubba decides to turn the hose on - *cue photo of bubba playing with the hose last summer* - something like that. I'm not sure, but I think I could get that done at the same store.

I must investigate it. :)

Happy weekend to all...my hubby surprised me with a new car yesterday...it is a small SUV...about 10 years old. We never buy brand new cars. I did want something bigger...but still sort of small, this is perfect...Toyota RAV4, black and silver.

I will be doing errands for our trip today...we leave Tuesday...return next Saturday. I am really looking forward to this trip. Fall is a great time to travel.
