Good morning ~ TGIFI hope everyone is well today!
We had a very chilly start to the day ~ I made sure the furnace started/worked, then turned it off and started a fire in the wood stove.
Today (and in the weeks ahead) we will be doing FALL related chores around the house (inside and out)to prep for winter.
In years past we have seen the first flakes fall in just a month from now (it doesn't usually stick until November).
With hubby home now, we are more relaxed about the coming winter months; no pressures now re: him having a long commute, and me clearing the long driveway when it storms.
Have a blessed weekend everyone![]()
It is crazy how things are different from coast to coastI must chuckle to myself...it was 85 degrees inside my house last night....cooler outside, but it takes several days of cooler weather to get the inside temp down. Maybe next week it will happen.
I have groceries to get today, but did get to sleep most of the night...PTL!

Just stopping by for a rest ~Hubby and I have been busy with chores all day after we took our walk with Ms Penny
He replaced the rotted wood vent on the peak of the house; I put all the kids metal tonka trucks by the road (FREE), de-bugged all my plants and took them in the house, picked up all the fallen limbs in the yard from the rain storm, and began cleaning/ putting away all the fans.
I am beat![]()
This evening will be just R&R for me; I'll start on my 'fall chore list' again tomorrow
Hope your day is going well![]()
Hello, all. Nothing going on here, except I've become attached to a pretty black and white stray cat. It's very friendly and I think it use to be a pet because when I click my tongue, he comes right to me. I can't take him in, though, because I don't like dealing with pet hair and other messes and vet bills.
Yes, fall is in the air. The shorter days and gray skies we've been having makes me want to think it's already winter. I force myself out for a bit so I don't start hibernating too early in the season. We haven't had rain, but much overcast jean weather. Not sure if I'll have my capris on again this season.
I'm glad you all are excited about fall. I'd follow the sun, if I could.![]()
I am just waiting for some kind of Fall...it sure isn't willing to show up this year.
Can you keep the kitty outside...I find a pet is very, very comforting, well worth the expense in the long run. ((((((hugs))))),![]()
As long as he shows up, I'll feed him. When they're outside, anything can happen. I've had inside cats before, but found some things stressful. My sinuses also seem a bit better as well.
Unfortunately we are in the hands of technology and occasionally there is a delay in such type of deposits (and auto withdrawals at times); most likely it will be in your account Monday Morning.Today, [Saturday] has been my 'payday'
~pension guarantee and pension-credit
When I went to the shop earlier, I checked my balance at the ATM before entering the shop
*stunned* ~my expected weekly-amount, was not available for withdrawals
I had left £30+ in, the account, to cover the expected 'direct-debit' withdrawal
[of, my ISP/phone bill] due to be taken on 20th
and 'that', still remains in the account [untouchable]
I went home and, signed-in to my bank account [online]
and saw, that my account is due to be credited with £5.30 [Pension Credit]
but, and to my horror, no sign of my pension being deposited
As it is Saturday, there is nobody [available]
with whom, I can discuss my 'problem'
not, until Monday, in any case
I know, that He has this matter in hand for me
and, that I will 'get-through' by His grace
