It's quite here today. Last evening wasn't as bad as it sometimes is. Of course, I kept the television on for noise. Knowing that my son is happier than he was for a while and that it's a good place for him to be currently gives me peace. I'm not thrilled that he rides around the city on his bike at all hours of night. But, I have to trust God to keep him safe just as he has kept me safe all these years. I used to be out way after dark, never worried about traffic or crime.

That would keep me praying for sure....

Good morning from the west coast...it will be hot again today....but, they say...after the weekend we should have cooler temps....I am soooo ready to see this summer leave "the building".

This week has been wonderful ~ cool fall temps at night and warm days
The red maples in the marshes are turning color, the ducks are quacking loudly on the lake as they plan their vacation down south, and there are wild turkeys on the road often; it is beautiful walking

We have begun our 'fall cleaning' inside the house and out in the yard; next week we will start splitting and stacking our wood ~ Hubby splits/I stack

Today when we went grocery shopping, we picked up a pot of Fall Mums and a pumpkin for our walk, and a lovely spice cake for dessert.
For supper we made beans, hot dogs and corn bread....yup we have FALL FEVER

We will be getting the wood stove fired up pretty soon!

WE are under high pressure here....bright blue, cloudless skies, and hot.
I got out for a walk very early, talked by phone for 2 hours to my friend Phyllis...ate lunch, then slept for 3 hours. I am still fighting or trying to live with this fatigue.

We will watch the Giants football game tonight. I cooked a nice dinner last night so we have good left overs for tonight.

The local weather guy just menti0oned on the news that our 80 degree weather is now behind us; we could always have a few 'indian summer' days with brief warmth, but it will be cooling down from here on in.
What is most noticeable is the sun lowering in the sky; the garden is now in the shade by noon time, whereas we had full sun on it all summer until late afternoon

No doubt the stressors this months drained your thyroid and adrenals ~ rest will fix you up

Thought you friends might enjoy this shot of my hubby, standing to the right. His fish weighed 225 lbs....the fish on the left weighed in at 338 lbs. My son's photo from the recent trip to Alaska.

These are halibut...white meat fish, just yummy.

I am grateful for shorter days...we have shadows longer in the shelter of the hillside just to our east...but a lot of daylight to the west in the evenings..."THEY" say it should start cooling down next week...Fall officially begins on Saturday.

I think you are right Gail...my stress levels went on high alert for several days...plus I can't get to sleep in a normal way...just hit and miss. I rest as much as possible.

The fish are amazing...the guy next to hubby is 75 years old...he and hubby pulled in the bigger fish together. They were the oldest men in the group.
