Hello Dave, Gail, Shirley and fellow GE'er's
I watched two of my favorite ministers this morning, that is basically my church service, then, I fellowshipped some here, raked some leaves, had lunch, now, I am inside staying cool.
Been a pretty quiet day for the most part.

It is hot here too Susie....I am headed for the shower and will settle down to listen to my teachers this evening. We have had a nice day...I cooked a hot breakfast, way early...it has been too hot to cook much but we still get hungry for something.

Just stopping to say hello. I enjoyed being at church today. I got out of the habit partly because of winter, depression and pain. Since I've felt better I've gone weekly for the last month. Until seasonal illnesses start going through my friend's family, I will have a ride. Seeing how much better going makes me feel, I'm pretty sure I''ll make the effort. I went through an extensive time of pain and muscle weakness. Two weeks in Florida last winter was a small miracle and I still haven't lost the benefits. Praise God for each blessing great and small.

It is monday....I will do as little as possible today....we are still in a heat wave.... Makes sleeping really hard...I saw a neighbor walking his dogs around midnight last night....thought of doing the same with Gracie...but I was too tired.

I need to get some groceries and then stay out of the sun and off my feet....

I could get crabby today if I am not careful.

Good Monday to everyone

I was up earlier today so I could go to Church with hubby (M-W).
Thankfully I have been getting to sleep earlier and sleeping well (and rising earlier).

The front finally passed overnight, so it is drier and will be very pleasant (even though in the 80s) the next 2 days.
We will walk this evening when it is cooler for Penny (the road is too hot and sunny now).

Praying for your comfort Shirley; such conditions are a big drain on the body and spirit

I am happy you are doing better Marsha and Susie; what a blessing

We are just puttering around doing little chores today and reading.

It is finally sunny out after many days of rain. Will get to go out and enjoy my back balcony/deck. And then off to work/ministry. Feeling Ok hope everyone has a great day.

Howdy and good afternoon to all

It looks like another hot day again, and the sky has the "white heat" look as well. I plan on staying inside where it is cool.

Shirley, I know what you mean about getting crabby if you let yourself, I feel that way too sort of, a lot is going on in my life, and I must not let it get me down.

Hi Susie, Gail, Tom, Forge and anyone else I forgot. It's been a slow day here. I know, what's new, right!? LOL I did stroll up to the library and ended up getting four books off the shelf, and a movie I requested was in. When I got home, there was a message that my evening help won't be here. Haven't decided if I'm going up to a fast food place or if I'll fend for myself here. Got my wheelchair charging now.

We're under a "fall weather pattern", temps normal or below. I'll take that over 90s-100s any day. But, I do miss the sunshine.

If anything, my recovery is quicker than expected. I have learned a new appreciation of what hands do for us every day - thus a new appreciation for God and His design of us. God's handiwork is awesome. I thanked my surgeon and he simply pointed UP. I love it when doctors give God credit and give a testimony for Him.

I get the stitches out of my right hand on 8-20, and the wedding is 9-1. If things go as they are now, I should be back to normal by then. I'm doing the exercises and everything the doctor told me to do.

It is great when they do recognize where they get their skill, and how they are extensions of Christ in healing!
That is an amazing recovery ~ praise God

I hope that you have a nice evening. I'm looking forward to a fall weather pattern, but we still have some triple digit temperatures to go through first. The weatherman did promise some rain around the first of next month, so we're excited and looking forward to it. I'd love to see it rain for a solid week and so would our farmers and ranchers.

Yep...I used to be crabby a lot...it just doesn't help one bit to get me thru life...makes everything worse. I have learned to be "real" with myself tho...and I have learned to pray thru things better. I do find physical health really affects one's emotions...then I think of Jesus hanging on that cross, He was not crabby...He was real...He was suffering, but He was not crabby. PTL!

O, I will take the low temps too....I see quite a few folks getting around here on mobile wheel chairs...they go up and down our hills pretty well...usually in the weekeday mornings. We all like to be as independent as we can for as long as we can.

Hello everyone...I kept quiet today, needed to rest....we are still in serious heat and monsoon humidity out here. Makes sleeping un plesant.
