Chinese Moon Landing

Just been looking at the first photos released by China from their lunar rover. And I couldn't help wondering, given that they are so similar to those from the Apollo missions, how long is it going to be before conspiracy theorists start coming out with ideas that China's faking it too?!

It's really not too important. It's more China saying to the world 'look at us, look at our new place in the world'. It says a lot that China has gone to the moon when the US has had to cut back significantly on its space programme.

I don't know about conspiracy theorists, but no doubt they'll believe this latest moon landing has also been faked.

Totally. Look at all these pictures of the leaning tower of Pisa; so similar! Obviously the more recent ones are fake, since they are so much like the earlier ones:

Actually I could see a too similar issue.

Not up on the Chinese landing, but if it is supposed to be somewhere different and if the background landmarks are the same that is a problem. I would also expect some improvement in picture quality.

BUT even if I were to completely consider China to be the evil empire who want to fool the rest of us I don't for one instant believe they are the stupid empire. If it was a con these are not mistakes they would make.
