Teeth and fossil bone fragments from a meat-eating T. rex-like dinosaur were discovered in a Chinese dinosaur bone bed. The remains indicate that the creature measured over 30 feet from nose to tail.1 How did such a large creature come to be fossilized alongside so many other dinosaurs?

Researchers estimated the dinosaur weighed six tons. Dr. David Hone, now at University College Dublin, studied the fossil remains and was the lead author of the resulting paper published in the journal Cretaceous Research.2 He told The Telegraph, "It's another big T-rex and these things don't turn up every day. It's one of the biggest predators of all
time."3

How did this enormous creature—dubbed Zhuchengtyrannus magnus in honor of the city in which it was found—wind up in the Shandong quarry, "one of the largest concentrations of dinosaur bones in the world"?3 In trying to reconstruct the circumstances of this giant creature's death and preservation as a fossil, it stands to reason that if it had died of natural causes in any normal setting, other animals would have quickly scavenged its body. Any leftover tissue would have rotted quickly, just as occurs today. Therefore, whatever happened to it and the hordes of other dinosaurs found jumbled within the same rock formation must have happened quickly―faster than carcasses can rot or be scavenged.

The Telegraph reported, "Research suggests the area contains so many dinosaur fossils because it was a large flood plain where many dinosaur bodies were washed together during floods and fossilised."3 In other words, this creature was catastrophically overtaken by water. But how strong would this flood event have to be? Strong enough to at least be able to sweep away a six-ton animal and then completely bury it with the masses of other dinosaurs whose fossils are within the same area.

This dinosaur bone bed in China appears to be an instance of what Henry Morris termed a "fossil graveyard." He wrote in 1974, "Similar dinosaur graveyards are found on every continent, all over the world. Again the uniformitarian is challenged to point to any such phenomena occurring anywhere in the world today."4

Uniformitarian thinking insists that present slow processes explain all past phenomena. However, since present slow processes do not transport giant creatures in this manner or preserve them as fossils, then certainly catastrophic processes—not gradual ones—are the best explanation for the origin of many earth features. And the Bible records a flood that had enough power to do the kind of work required to totally overpower even the largest land creatures and bury them in fossil graveyards.

There are also seashells on the tops of the highest mountains. This is also speaks to a global flood and not Evolution. For if the seashells were on tops of these mountains for millions or billions of years, they would have eroded away by the weathering of the elements.

If that is not enough, they found a whale fossil at the top of the Andes mountains.
They found a Megalodon shark in the land locked state of Utah.

There are global flood legends all over the world.
The evidence points to the fact that the Bible is true.

As for two global floods:
Well, I believe the Bible only clearly teaches one global flood and not two.
God made a rainbow so as to say that He would not destroy the Earth with a flood again.
Death did not take place until after Adam sinned.

You claim in error at the bottom of your large copy and paste, that there were 2 global floods and you quote Genesis 1:2 in support.

There is no flood seen in Genesis 1:2 as you claim, God moving on the face of the waters isn't a flood :)

Have any of these "fossil graveyards" been found that contained the fossils of both dinosaurs and wooly mammoths?

I know I live on a volcano, because the underground rock is rhyolite, which is formed in lava flows.
Only a hill is left of that volcano, because most of it has eroded away.

A quarry about 10 miles from my house contains thousands of layers of sedimentary rock formed in a body of water. No fish bones or sea shells have ever been found in that quarry.

In many parts of the world a layer of dust is found just above the last layers of rock containing dinosaur fossils. This dust layer contains very high levels of Iridium, which is rare on earth, but more common in meteorites.
A large underground crater was discovered by those searching for oil in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Rocks from that location have been found thousands of miles away.

I have visited the 1/2 mile wide Barringer Meteorite Crater in Arizona.

The process of erosion is an example of the constant process of Uniformitarianism, but meteorite impacts are one of the best examples of Catastrophism.

Both have been important factors in the history of our planet.

To my knowledge, there has never been remains of dinosaurs and mammoths found in the same locations together. What difference does that have to do with it?

You have an affinity for shooting yourself in the foot. The Scriptures refute you...again:

Flood #1:

Gen.1:2 "The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters."

Ps.24:1 "The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it

the world, and all who live in it;
2for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters."

1 Pet.3:5 "For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water."

Flood #2:

Gen.7:17 "For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. 18The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.19They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. 20The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits."

But God's Word does not say He destroyed the world using meteorites. It was a global flood; And the evidence left behind supports what God's Word says.

The surface of the earth has been destroyed on more than one occasion.
The flood of Noah was one occasion.

God's word does not mention the Barringer Meteorite crater in Arizona, but it is still there.

2 Peter 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

How many global floods in this passage? 1 or 2? If the answer is only one, and if there are two global floods like the OP claims, which of the two is the above referring to?

It's the same reason why we never find dead caribou and dead crocodiles in the same place. It has nothing to do with timing.

I do wonder why you would expect that God might heavily mourn flooding the Earth so much that he swore he'd never do it again, yet believe that he did it twice. Did he not care so much after he did it the first time?

Had you used the following passage instead, the passage in 2 Peter 3:5-7 would have been interpreted correctly.

2 Peter 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly

In light of the above, let's now look at the verses in question in 2 Peter 3.

2 Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished. What does 2 Peter 2:5 indicate is meant by the world that was? And spared not the old world---bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly

The world that then was is this very same 'old world' in 2 Peter 2:5, and that what perished were the ungoldly.

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished----bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly

The correct interpretation was that close the entire time, only had to go back 1 chapter or so to determine what was being meant by the world that then was. Don't know why you are bringing in some of these other unrelated passages to allegedly bring light to the passages in 2 Peter 3 that are in question?

One flood, the earth out of water and in the water is nothing more than it says.

Just Like water above "clouds" water below "seas"

Uniformitarian thinking insists that present slow processes explain all past phenomena. However, since present slow processes do not transport giant creatures in this manner or preserve them as fossils, then certainly catastrophic processes—not gradual ones—are the best explanation for the origin of many earth features. And the Bible records a flood that had enough power to do the kind of work required to totally overpower even the largest land creatures and bury them in fossil graveyards.

Quasar92

'Anything is possible, not everything is probable', is a popular saying. But, in our world, probability is meaningless, besides the world being constructed by "it". (Miracles, by definition are improbable to the point of impossibility.)

"The world", "earth" (in Revelation lingo), is encased in the probable.

The higher realm, including "heaven on earth" or "the City", has the probable as a skeletal wrapping, but it is infused with ample impossibility to allow such things as immortality.

Point being, there is no reason to even begin to explain or explain away dinosaur bones. Nor anything else.

Because while the world is ignorant of the infinite world, where the impossible flows like a river, we are not. So, we should know that not everything has or needs an explanation.

There is nothing incorrect about the passage I in 2 Pet.3:5 used to describe the earth in Gen,1:2, that comes from the NIV.

>>>1 Pet.3:5 "For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water."<<<
