Chinese Christians

Many of you may know this, but many may not. In China right now, the Holy Spirit is strong. People are being healed of their diseases and injuries. People of other religions have tried casting out demons with spells, prayers, etc. But the only thing that's worked is when Christians have casted them out in the name of Jesus. Everyday, more people are converting to Christianity. People are beat and killed for their beliefs, so they get together when the Holy Spirit tells them to get together. It seems like the miracles that we're happening when the Apostles were around. (http://bibleprobe.com/forum/messages/414.html)

And now look at the rest of us. Over 37,000 denominations. I'd say we've done more damage to the Body of Christ than what was don't to His physical body. We've skipped reform and gone straight for division. I can't see why we'd deserve to be raptured out of here before persecutions came. The Pharisees didn't realize how wrong they were until Jesus came. It's been about 2000 years. We need to listen for the LORD's voice. Seems it's been lost in the midst of all this fighting and division.

I have to agree with you. My own mind is numb all the time by the easy life I have in the U.S. I have to continually remind myself to wake up to what is going on in the rest of the world and not fall asleep.

Yes my friend you are right, the Holy Spirit is sweeping through China as we speak. I have personal friends ministering and spreading the Gospel of Christ in China, and it is a constant struggle to remain alert and aware of the authorities.

Whatever demonination you are do not forget to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are spreading His message in these areas.

Just a reminder to all readers that not all denominations start because of fighting. having multiple denominations does have one large advantage, no worldwide church governance, hense decentralization.

My own church started for the simple fact that emigrants came and settled in the country because they were Christians and spoke the same native language, not a big fight over theology, doctrine, or church leadership.

Sometimes other churches start because someone saw there was no church in an area population and started one to have that need met.

Yes, we should have a church in each city that all Christians there go to. But, in some cases around where I am, you'll see churches literally right across the street from another.

A group of students from my school last year went to China over Christmas break for a short term missions trip!...When they came back, it was amazing to hear how God worked through them and how many people they were able to convert!...God does amazing things through people with willing hearts, which is something we all need to do and have!...

such a moving book about a brother in China. its a true story and you should read it. after i read it, i fell down crying.
