China's Sorrow

Many people do not realize that the Eden we read about in the Bible was not the ONLY Eden. In China they have the Yellow River area. This is the Bio-diverse Ecosystem where rice grew wild and is now domesticated. Not only the grains, but also the vegetables or herbs in China are different from what you find in Mesopotamia in the Middle East.

We do not see flooding along the Euphrates River as much anymore. The area is over developed and the water is sold for profit. Today we do still see flooding in China, along the Yellow River. Flooding that has been going on for thousands of years. Still this is very productive futile land. The floods leave very rich soil where farmers can grow and produce a lot of food.

Probably because this is an idea you made up - what scriptural support is there that Eden is more than one place? What justification is there for equivocating the Bible term 'Eden' with any and all agricultural hubs?

e-christians probably believe this rubbish, but that's all it is - rubbish. Sure, some of what they say about Chinese characters is (coincidentally) true but mostly it is an attempt to twist and misrepresent things. A couple of examples:

示 = show, not god.
鬼= ghost/spirit, not devil. 魔鬼 = evil spirit, which is often translated as "devil". But in the bible they use 撒旦 (sadan)

Interesting that they never mention characters like 祸 (god+mouth/words+person+enclosure) meaning misfortune.
Perhaps they should have checked with you first, eh?

Not.

lol

They would do well to go learn about chinese characters, their etymology and how radicals actually work before trying to claim that a few characters out of tens of thousands prove some historical link to the Genesis story. These are probably the sort of people who would claim that because "need" is an anagram of Eden that proves we need God.

For the record, I'll take the personal attack as a sign you can't counter my argument.

LOL back atcha! :)

God created Eden (e-Pangaea), then planted a garden eastward in it.

If you can come up with a better region than China, I'll listen.

I don't need 'tens of thousands of radicals' in the Chinese alphabet, like you [apparently] do; my faith isn't that weak.

Just one will do.

In other words, if China has just one, but no other place has any ... well, do the math.

Not only are you moving the goalposts, what you've written is complete nonsense.

One man's nonsense is another man's faith, isn't it?

Also, Pangaea was just the last in a series of supercontinents.
Sure it was.

We should have six moons; why not six Edens, eh?
If you accept the existence of Pangaea then you are accepting the geological science that shows it came along rather late in the Earth's timeline, i.e. God didn't create Pangaea.
Good ... I'll stick with "Eden" then.

I only reference it as "Pangaea" so the ... um ... scientifically-minded can understand.

If you ever watched Sanford & Son and saw the two policemen talking, you would understand what I'm saying.
