Apparently China, South Korea and Japan are putting aside about 3000 years of mutual hostility with a free trade agreement (and a joint response to tariffs)

Who knows, maybe this rapprochement might be what gets Trump his Nobel Peace Prize (because "fixing the Russian invasion of Ukraine appears to be dead in the water)?

Trump might have to make some adjustments to his trade policy, and he's picking a bad time to do it because of the global synchronized recession. Everyone wants to protect their industries, including America. For the last 8 years, we've been expanding our manufacturing, and we need tariffs, but I can't see how blanket tariffs will be helpful. need to wait and see.

We go from nearly isolating China's power in international trade in the Pacific region ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Pacific_Partnership ) to China-Korea-Japan isolating us. What a complete failure by Trump's international trade policy.

Notice the announcement comes from China and not South Korea and Japan. Both of these countries may be hedging their trade positions given the America's backward looking position....but I would wait to see their take on the Chinese announcement.
