  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I hear lots of judgement against pastors and churches in this thread, I want to address math with you for a moment.

There are 52 weeks in a year assuming you attend a different church every week your getting a poor view of each church

assuming you attend churches in 10 week increments than you're only getting a glimps of 6 churches a year and one of them is only for two weeks

also how many different denominations do you visit a year? There are lots!

Either way I see posts like Pastors are protecting their incomes... which pastors? How much time do you spend with these individual pastors. According to salary.com 75% of pastors are making less than 100k
25% are making under 60k... It's a living but it's not going to make you a millionaire. Who's protecting this salary level, where are you getting your information.

I also read a comment about how people like to tithe because they want to be in good standings with God. Which people? Their are about 2.2 billion people who call them selves Christians and I bet at least a few thousand really are. Have you talked to them, had a legitimate poll? You have no clue why these people tithe.

Jesus is my judge and their judge and yours. Talking about what is proper in God's kingdom is one thing but to point judgement at 2.2 billion people that you've never met is at bare minimum presumptuous.

This world is bitter, if your a Christian then life should be joyous

This world is cold, in God's kingdom we can extend love to even our enemies

This world judges you for your mistakes with a hardened unrelenting cruelty that shown no sign of humility, please don't do the same.

Let's work together to build a world for Christ!

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments 1 Corinthians 2:14-15

We move in the SPIRIT not math.

The Exchanged Life

Right because God believes everyone who pays their pastor is a Godless heathen... Ask the people moving in the spirit...

Or wait maybe the people with the spirit are the ones who believe if you wear a tie it's because your judging their tattoos...

I believe in the sword of the Spirit so here are some right judgements.

Mark 11:25
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

Colossians 2:16
So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,

Matthew 6:25
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Here are some garbage judgments

Boo hoo, A pastor with a tie made me feel unimportant, now I think all pastors with ties are that way.

I heard a kid listen to heavy music and then he left the church so I don't think loud screamy bands are Christian

God told me I should trust in him and I would get my job and I did so now everyone without a job just needs to learn to trust in God because they're not doing it right!

See the difference, I hope this helped

Oh wow. I've seen the way that "clergy" protects it's turf in several denominations and how they oppose scriptures like this

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

(1Co 14:26-34)

and

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
(1Pe 2:9-10)

I see men making merchandise of men, shearing God's sheep for their own gain and viciously defending the "right" to do so. I know dollar signs in their eyes when I see them. I don't hate them but I also believe that many are actively opposing the unity of Christ's body and the ministry of all of its members.
