  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would definitely call who was in charge and voice your concern. I would let my daughter finish out the last class and I would not sign her up to participate further unless assured that would not happen again . There are plenty of games to do with children as a group that do not involve 'killing'.

but what good would contacting the mom or school do

I would be completely outraged as well, but it's better to calmly approach the mom in charge and let her know you don't want your child participating in those kinds of games.

Yes the damage has already been done and there is only one more class, but you may be helping the parents and children of future classes.

Dont have kids myself,

As suggested above, I'd say, discuss it with the mother/assistant in a calm respectful manner that you do not want your child to participate in such a thing. Since its unlikely to happen again with only one class remaining.

I would probably allow my child to finish out the class, but I would show up early before the class were scheduled to finish just incase there were time left and they decided to play that game again or something similar.

I'd sit in the background quietly and respectfully until it were time to gather my child, unless I heard them starting up that "game" again.

Remaining silent is rarely ever the answer.
