Duran Duran :) I still don't know why I like them. Good music and they're cool I guess.
You like them because they rock! I have their greatest hits CD. It's awesome. LOL Nick Rhodes was my first true love. Never mind the fact that he's more than twice my age and wears makeup. ^_^

I think it was me who mentioned Kylie, probably because that's the only Australian 80s staple people from all over the world may remember, unless the subject of Angus Young with a guitar in a private school boy's uniform in front of thousands of angry AC/DC fans comes up. But I'll mention a few other Australian 80s reminisces, and see if anyone else knows them.

- Bob Hawke's most repeated sound byte phrase, anyone remember what it was?
- The Comedy Company
- The Yahoo Serious movie, Young Einstein
- The Peacock and Howard battle for leadership of the Liberal Party
- Home & Away started in the 80s if I'm not mistaken, but that's not what I most remember. It's the line "flamin' kids!" I remember :D
- Redgum's song "I was Only Nineteen"
- The 12th man and Wired World of Sports records
- Countdown
- Tony Barber on "Sale of the Century"
- Hey Dad!

"Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand......" I think I sound better in the shower. The acoustics in there are great.
