• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Is there a board for those who are childless, and are grieving never being able to be parents? I don't mean those who choose to be childless. I am refering to those who have had hysterectomys early in life, those who have had countless rounds of fertility drugs with no success. Those who want to be biological parents in the worst way and for one medical reason or another, cannot concieve a child.

Please give me some direction, I have looked and can not find a board that focuses on the childless not by choice.

Please do not direct me to the trying to concieve, that only adds more heartache to an already broken heart.

Thanks!

dnihila,
I am looking for a place where I can fellowship with other Christian childless couples, who are not childless by choice.

I had a complete hyst. 3 years ago, have not/ cannot have children, and have no desire / calling to adopt.

I just want a comfortable forum where those of us who are childless due to medical reasons can fellowship and support each other. I have tried the trying to concieve forums in the past (not here) and they are way to painful to enter. It only reminds me of the days of my fertility treatments and how hopeful I was that I would one day become a mother.

If someone has any ideas, or can help contact the administrators of the site to let them know that a forum of such nature would be greatly appreciated.

getncloser - thanks for your prayers.

Blessings!

I would like to suggest another website where I have found good support from grieving moms. I am a moderator there. Although it is not a Christian website it does offer a special forum for "The Infertility Struggle". There you can at least talk to other moms and dads who have faced this same problem and might offer some comfort to you.
The site is the "MISS foundation" . Just type that in your browser an dit will take you there. I co-moderate the forum for Parents of teens and young adults.

Hello dear one. I am so sorry to hear of your grief and I cannot imagine how much you must suffer, wanting a child like this, and not being able to have one at this time. Dear sister, I will pray for you.

In the mean time, there is a forum here:

http://www.christianforums.com/f233-for-women-who-struggle.html

It is for women who struggle.

Please let me know if I can do anything else for you.

I am also childless not by choice.

I married late in life, then had a miscarriage after months of trying to conceive. I was told that I would never be able to carry a child to full term due to fertility issues compounded with problems with my uterous.

Now, my husband and I are seperated and I doubt he will come back. (And know that i probably shouldn't let him given circumstances.) At my age, even finding a new spouse is unlikely let alone having a child.

It is a form of grief... a valid form of grief.

Mother's day is very hard for me. I really do not like my mother very much. (I think I still love her, but things are very tense between us.) So, mother's day is hard for that reason, but also hard because of what my church does that day: they give a flower to every mother!

I cried the first time they did that and just left. After that, I never go to church on Mother's day.
