Child Re-born
The glorious giggle of a child re-born,
Peace and love radiates from her face,
A smile breaks out,
too large to contain inside her.
A deep sigh gushes out of her soul,
she is a child re-born...
A renewed future does she see.
She can no longer be withheld.
This radiant child re-born,
tries to suppress a yawn...
it's too early to call it a night,
tiredness doesn't seem fair to her.
Her piercing, grey eyes look about,
knowing that though she's re-born...
things will be tougher still.
But knowing she is not alone.
This child re-born looks to her friends,
and she looks to her magnificent God,
Her Father she has found again...
it was not He who was lost, but she.
She drops all religious rituals,
this re-born child will seek only Him.
She reaches out, grabs a hold...
knowing and receiving His promises.
Dropping to her knees, she had cried...
this once aimless child gave up her all,
and she wept for what she had lost...
knowing she had wandered far.
But she also wept for all that is to come,
knowing she will rise again and again...
and her God will reign forevermore,
living in His child re-born.
'Thank-you Lord Jesus for saving me.'
