I was just thinking last night how there are two jobs I would never want, one is modeling, the other is acting.
I hate the idea of being at someone elses bec and call, I don't mind a job with scheduled hours, but the spur of the moment thing is not cool, nor the miss nap skip lunch, try to appease a cranky kid (and ME!) no way. I like regular (and frequent) meals and rest times.
I got the 'you should be a model' when I was a teen and I do not have the thick skin neccessary, I mean I am ok looking (but NOT photogenic) but to be told on a frequent basis "well maybe we can shoot form such and such an angle to hide the big nose" or something, no way I couldn't do it.
Oh yeah, and I AM NEVER cutting my hair for a photo shoot! or losing weight or gaining it or any of that stuff, having my body at the whim of someone elses opinion, I couldnt do it. I like my hair long and that is final!
I figure the same stuff applies to my kids, I like the way they look (adorable of course!) and I am not going to spend any time or effort on changing it for someone elses opinions or anything. Nor am I patient enough to try and amuse a kid for hours while wishing I was at home eating a nice dinner

(or wahtever)
But apparently lots of people like it, if you have the personality for it, and if you are already pretty flexible on food, rest and all that, why not? (so long as you don't lose the focus, and don't make it all about looks and stuff)
