People in America go hungry every single moment of every day. Shopping this evening for the weeks groceries I happened upon a Marie Callender's dessert.

On the back of the packaging at the bottom of the box was a logo "Child Hunger Ends Here". Marie's and other companies are involved in helping to end hunger by offering their products with code numbers on the back.
Just go to and enter that product code and your zip code in the box provided. The CHEH system then finds the nearest food bank and your purchase can help that food manufacturer to donate meals to the needy in your area.

With Marie Calender's, for every code entered by August 28, 2014, ConAgra Foods will donate 11.1cent through the network so as to provide means to local food banks.

It is a blessing to have the monies to feed ourselves in these tough times. With programs like this we can be a blessing to others too.

Americans have no concept of what hunger truly is.

How many cases of death by starvation do you know of that have happened in the States? Nobody dies of starvation here, it's pretty much impossible really, unless you get trapped in a cave out in the middle of nowhere or something.
It happens everyday across seas, that's where these so called miracle foundations should be focusing on.

Hunger is very present in America. That's why there are soup kitchens and food banks.
If you wish to focus your charity across the ocean please do so. But Americans are also going hungry and that is the focus of this thread. To bring attention to one means of filling stomachs right here at home. Where charity should begin.
