  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Ok I've read about 15 of them now, and honestly....I've no use for this guy or his tracts either!!!!

I asked myself, after reading a few(the catholic and stereotypical people ones)...would my Lord approve of this method!? My heart says NO he would/does NOT.

YES I posted above that I got choked up with that ONE tract. So?
I won't support a guy like this Chick fella. I've never heard of him until I read this thread actually.

Chick is ridiculous, he outta get in the trading card biz with these, good for self righteous chit chat between people of faith is all that I see with this stuff(based on the 15 tracts I just read!)
He's got a few good ones, and LOT's of bad ones. Why would you support someone like this? That is not what supporting a true ministry should come down to....take the good with the bad??? I think not.

thanks for listening.

Then I suppose you will read only Scripture. No other author than God is right all the time. Besides I am quite sure that God is pleased with at least some of the tracts, especially the ones that have led people to discuss Christ with me and others who use them effectively. To each his own I suppose. I will continue to use Chick Tracts and I am convinced at least some of them are pleasing to the Lord and they do work.

Personally, some of the Chick tracts can be jaded.

But I can point you to at least one that makes a great witness tool.

In this one tract, no particular religion or denomination is attacked.

It presents a very good message and I use it quite regularly.

Link

Can anybody object to this message?

Has this message changed?

I think not.

God Bless

Till all are one.
Hey Dean,

I agree that this tract is a pretty good one, and I wouldn't object to using it. If I were to ask questions about Chick's presentation, I suppose I might challenge his use of 2 Peter 3:9 --- there seems to be a general atonement presupposition there, though it is veiled. And I might also challenge his definition of repentance as mere willingness to turn from sin;
μετανοέω stipulates action, not just willingness. Other than that, it's great!

Ya, not bad. But I'm wondering if his application of John 3:16 is suggestive of general atonement? After all, God's covenant love is reserved for His elect.
I'm pretty sure Chick isn't a Calvinist, Tim. His tracks say otherwise in fact.

I've read a lot of these tracts. Presonally, I think they are telling the truth. But what do ou think about them?

I agree with you. :) I also think they are telling the truth. :) Chick tracts are wonderful evangelization tools.
