Jack Chick believes Salvation is by Faith alone in Jesus Christ.
Sorry, I misunderstood, but I don't know how I gave you that implication.

Sister, I don't want to seem like I'm trying to start a debate, but Jack Chick believes Salvation is by Faith alone in Jesus Christ. He believes as a Christian we should not read the new versions nor listen to music with the world's beat in it. Those things do not keep you saved, but will help you grow as a Christian.
God bless
Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." KJB
Show me in the Pauline Epistles where Salvation isn't by Faith.
Exactly so! And this being the fundy board, I think you'll find universal agreement on that point.Technically we are not saved by faith, but rather by grace through faith.

Great to hear it. As I said before, Chick tracts aren't without a large element of truth. I myself came to faith in Christ because a woman who believes in the prosperity Gospel gave me a Bible. Now I recognize that the prosperity Gospel is blasphemous and utterly abhorrent. But it doesn't change the fact that God sometimes uses strange means to bring us to faith in his Son.
I've read a lot of these tracts. Presonally, I think they are telling the truth. But what do ou think about them?
I first discovered the Jack Chick tracts as a young man about twenty years ago. As a catholic, they seemed to represent the hateful rantings of a lunatic. Through the years I have learned more about what motivated Chick and that is likely the love for God, but he has a distorted view of what the Catholic Church actually teaches. However, as a young man finding one of those tracts, they did not open my eyes. They only shocked and offended.
There is a difference between being wrong and telling lies. For example I would say that Pope Boniface the VIII was wrong when he wrote in Unam Sanctum "Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff." I would not say he lied. Giving the benefit of the doubt is a thoroughly Christian activity.Ditto, every time I have seen one they have offended me, even before I became a faithful Catholic. Any one who claims to be Christian cannot rely upon lies when trying to spread the faith, and many of his tracts have been refuted as false by other Protestants.

Granted, however many of his works are at best wild fantasies that have been discredited not only by Catholics, but by other Protestants in publications like Christianity Today, Conerstone, and Forward and yet he still continues to publish them. These publications refuted facts, and he still continues to push forward with them.
FWIW - I'm not RCC and they offend me, I see no use for them
that said - overall I see no use for tracts period - we have God's Word, that's more than sufficient. If we can't find what we need for evangelizing in Scripture, then we don't need it and shouldn't be using it.
