It's 18 x 18 or 20 x 20, so its not small. But I think I do, or would have to make some for something as special as this

If I still had my wood shop I would make a display table for you. But since I just moved into a small apartment I had to get rid of it. Still crying. I had solid oak. several exotic woods and much more that I just gave away.

I see chess sets for cheap on Kijiji. $15 or $20 bucks, hand carved. I just missed a really unique set last week, it was hand carved, two Spanish armies were represented. Very nice. Some people just don't know what they have I guess.

Nah. I wouldn't even classify myself as a beginner. I've forgotten even the basic rules which governs the ways each piece moves. I had to look it up.
